  1. Important info: I will have 2-3 lists with me each game day. I will be asking each opponent what sort of list difficulty they want to play. Now I am no expert or competitive genius but there are known types of lists and tactics that in orks are stronger. As I play more with them I will learn more but I know some. Due to this, my easier lists will have less of these, my harder lists will have more. This also changes based on the factions others brings. If someone is bringing Smash Captains and a Castellon, we'll, I may have only a few lists for them to choose as they will try to compliment and challenge With the Escalation League only days away at this point (and @Dark Trainer encouraging Weekly updates... Heh... Weekly... He is funny) I figured I would use this to document my force building and progress. Pictures will come when I figure a good place to host them. So far it's the Sunday before and it's a WOW night! So for my first time ever I am headed down. Bringing only orks... Ok, maybe I will bring a Titan or two for people to go "oooohhhh" and "ahhhh" though my painting isn't that great. Got 4 lists to test out and most definitely nothing is fully painted... Yet. Though I have characters that are near and some Meganobz that are close for those unit points. From the time of this post I have 3 hours to paint. Oh boy. Still, built my dakkajet last night (want to test that tonight), got to see how the krylon and rustolem primer and paint did for my basic painting (never used it so many bad feelings are here) Lists to test today... 40 Dakka Boyz (Shoota Boyz), Dakkajet, Dragsta and dual Kustom Mega-Blasta Dredd, my trukk pounding meganobz and friends. So 2 blue and 2 yellow lists... Wonder if I can make an evil sunz elite.... Hmmmm
  2. Holy Cow! We had 18 people. The rankings will be in order of points next week. To get points, make sure you post this wee, bring food, and assemble and paint models. Some players have higher scores for starting new armies or attending for the first time. If I did not get your models assembled or painted for the week, don't worry. There is a total of ten points allowed for assembling models and another ten for painting them for the entire League. Let me know the next time we meet, and I will add them to the score. Remember this is all for fun and the winner receives a free ticket to a charity tournament. 1. Aaron: 7 2. Alicia: 5 3. Berman: 4 4. Brandon: 13 5. Caitlin: 8 6. Darron: 5 3 Assembled 7. 6. Hello, Thank you for a fun Week 3. I hope we can have have Edward, Josh, Jenni, Pete and Evan back for Week 4. Still want to play? There is still plenty of time and space for you! Week Three of the Escalation League is October15th! Time: 3PM! Points: 200! That is the same amount as Week 3. Some people need time to build up there army. Bring Food, Bring Friends! Let me know, if you want a teaching game! Mission: Decapitation MISSION OBJECTIVES MAIN OBJECTIVES To kill more Army Points than the adversary (2 Objective Points). To kill the same amount of Lieutenants as the adversary (2 Objective Points, but only if at least 1 Lieutenant is killed by the player). To kill more Lieutenants than the adversary (3 Objective Points). To kill the Designated Target (2 Objective Points). To kill the Designated Target with your DataTracker (3 extra Objective Points). CLASSIFIED There are no Classified Objectives. DEPLOYMENT Both players deploy on opposite sides of the game table, in a Deployment Zone 16 inches deep. SCENARIO SPECIAL RULES REINFORCED TACTICAL LINK In this scenario the rule Loss of Lieutenant does not apply. In this mission, the identity of the Lieutenant is always Public Information. The player must indicate which Marker is the Lieutenant if it is in a Marker state (Camouflaged, TO Camouflaged...) or which Markers are the Lieutenant in the case of a Holoprojector. The Lieutenant must be placed on the game table at the beginning of the first Game Round, either as a model or as a Marker. Players may not deploy their Lieutenants in the Hidden Deployment state. If the player lacks a Lieutenant during the Tactical Phase of their Active Turn because this trooper was not deployed or because it is in an Isolated or a Null state (Unconscious, Dead, Sepsitorized…), then the player must name a new Lieutenant, without Order expenditure. The identity of this new Lieutenant is also Public Information. It is compulsory such Lieutenant be a model or a Marker placed on the game table. DATATRACKER At the end of the Deployment Phase, players must declare which troop from their Army List is the DataTracker. The trooper chosen must be always one of the models deployed on the game table. Players are not allowed to choose troopers in Hidden Deployment or in Marker state. This trooper must always be on the game table as a model and not as a Marker (Camouflaged, TO, Holoecho…). Also, Irregular troops and those whose Troop Type is REM are not eligible to be DataTrackers. The DataTracker is identified with a DataPack Marker (DATA PACK). DESIGNATED TARGET In this scenario, the enemy HVT is considered an enemy trooper instead of a Neutral Civilian so, it can be targeted by Attacks. Killing the enemy HVT does not cause loss of the game nor gives compensatory Objective Points to the adversary. HVTs will be reactive and hostile, reacting to any Order performed by an enemy active trooper in LoF or ZC. KILLING A trooper is considered Killed when he enters Dead state, or is in a Null state at the end of the game. Troopers that have not been deployed on the game table at the end of the game will be considered to be Killed by the adversary. NO QUARTER In this scenario, Retreat! rules are not applied. CLASSIFIED DECK NOT USED Players will not use the Classified Deck in this scenario. END OF THE MISSION This scenario has a limited time frame, so it will automatically finish at the end of the third Game Round.

  13. Scenario One: Shelter from the Storm Your legions land upon the burning landscape of the Realm of Fire. The air is hot and dry as the wind draws all the moisture from your skin. The broken and baked ground upon the Brimstone Peninsula hisses steam as boots crush the blasted earth beneath. The red sun beats down upon the land mercilessly, serving as yet another opponent seeking to crush all beneath it's burning gaze. As a huge gout of flame bursts from the broken, blackened earth a clarion call of battle rings forth over the blasted landscape. The enemy is visible from across the blasted Brimstone Peninsula, the battle chants filling the air with a cacophony of howls and cheers. As your armies get into formation the sky above darkens and the black and grey clouds swell and roil. Lightning bursts forth from the heavens striking the battlefield before you sending thousands of obsidian shards hurling in all directions. You see one of the enemies outriders struck the obsidian shards, the shattered stone shredding armor and bone and reducing the outrider to cooling meat in a second. After a moment the clouds have filled the sky, blotting out the burning sun. Hundreds of bolts of lightning begin to slam into the blasted landscape hurling debris and obsidian shards everywhere. You know that if you do not seek shelter before the storm breaks your army will be destroyed before you even cross blades with the enemy. The hot wind rips through your troops, tearing banners and standards off their poles. You know that your Battle Standard must not be destroyed for it will serve as the rallying point for your army once battle is joined. A massive ziggurat looms to the west, the red brick pyramid offers shelter from the oncoming hellstorm brewing above. As your eyes are drawn back to the battlefield you lock gazes with the enemy commander and the two of you both realize at the same time that the pyramid is the only respite. You bark orders to your legion to advance upon the ziggurat as your enemy does the same, which one of you will reach the shelter first and survive the storm? The Armies: Each player will field between 4 and 8 warscrolls. Scenario Objectives: 1. Get the model designated as the Battle Standard Bearer (or if you are not using a BSB then designate one model to be the Battle Standard) into the terrain piece designated as the Ziggurat*. - 5 points 2. Destroy the enemy Battle Standard Bearer - 2 points 3. Each surviving unit at the end of the game - 1 point per unit. 4. Slay the enemy general - 1 point Sudden Death will not be used this scenario. The Battlefield: The game field will be played upon a 6' x 4' gaming surface. There will be several hills in each 2x2' section and a single structure designated as the "Ziggurat" placed on the table edge opposite of the deployment zones for the players. Players will deploy in their deployment zones as normal. They may set up no closer than 12" from the enemy territory and no closer than 36" from the Ziggurat. Game Length - This scenario will last 6 Battle Rounds or until the first player gets his battle standard bearer into the Ziggurat. The game immediately ends and objective points are determined. Scenario Special Rules: Fireball - Wizards - in the Brimstone Peninsula know the Fireball spell in addition to other spells they know. Fireball has a casting value of 5. If successfully cast, select a target unit within 18" of the caster. If the target unit consists of 1 model it suffers 1 mortal wound. If the target unit consists of 2-9 models it suffers 1d3 mortal wounds. If the target unit consists of 10 or more models it suffers d6 mortal wounds. Raging Tempest - At the beginning of every Battle Round (not player turn) roll a D6 for every unit and consult the following table. D6 Roll: 1 - The unit has been struck by a bolt of lightning from the raging tempest above. The unit may not move or act this turn and suffers D6 mortal wounds. 2 - A bolt of lightning struck near the unit sending shards of razor sharp obsidian into its ranks. The unit suffers D3 mortal wounds. 3-5 - Nothing happens, but you still look to the sky fearfully. 6 - A bolt of lightning struck the unit but someone bravely leaped ahead giving his companions time to react. The unit suffers 1 mortal wound but the act of heroism inspires the unit and they gain +1 Attack for the duration of the Battle Round. Wounds suffered from the Raging Tempest still count towards Battle Shock. Victory Conditions: The player with the greater number of Objective points at the end of the game wins. A player that has no models left on the board loses the scenario but will retain their scenario points. League Scenario Reportings: Victory Points: Win - 3 points Tie - 2 points Loss - 1 point Victory Points + Objective Points = Final Scenario Score

  15. I'm not going to be able to make it every Sunday this fall, but I'm going to blog as if I can! Unlike some others, a new army is just not in the cards for me. Beyond that, I have a TON of stuff to finish up with the Warriors of Chaos army I have. Much of it (though getting less each year) is just basecoated and washed. Some is still in the older red or green color schemes, before I solidified on my ice-blue scheme. Some things aren't painted at all (namely the Manticore and the sorcerer lord who can ride on it or the dragon). There are a few things I want to add to the army: a selection of Forsaken, a new and more impressive Warshrine, perhaps another chariot (Gorebeast or normal, not sure), other things? We'll see if an End Times-style Chaos book comes out; perhaps I'll be adding some Daemons to my ranks. In any case, I'll be posting pictures and lists and discussion here! I'll be building up to the Rampage, which I do plan to attend - I'm just not sure what I want to run yet. The league will be a chance to try things out, though.
  16. so i have most of the models i want to use(besides chariots and piggies). totally unpainted besides many of the minos(from NtK, not sure if ill be able to do them as well as he did...). have 70 gor(ill convert about 10-15 for harpies), 20 bestigor, 10 ungor raiders, a ghorgon, 2 bray shaman, 10 minotaurs, doombull and gorebull. with school and research picking up combined with my desire to not paint like total dog poop(as usual)... this may be a slow process. wont be there for the 1000 points i bet but here's what i would have: 25 gor, FC AHW 5 ungor raiders 5 minotaurs, AHW 16 bestigor, standard gorebull, AHW bray shaman, lvl 1
