What point size are you guys doing? I work in Tualatin / Sherwood - live south of the metro area - near Aurora / Hubbard - I can get to G&G probably around 5 typically. -d

I’ve got one painted fleet (Eldar) and several other fleets needing assembly and paint. - and a space mat around somewhere. After the holidays I’d be up for popping out to OC for some BFG.

hmmm I am not sure about putting a heating device into the workings of a 3d printer. Does that radiate heat or is it for holding? A simple enclosure with a small heater is pretty effective. even a small tabletop grow tent could work. -d

For my set up - it made a difference- I got more failures when it got colder. After building an enclosure- so I could control the temps things were more stable.

The game days folks make a standard "Reinforced Platoon" built from the "Armies of ... " books...units not from campaign or other extra books typically. Although the game days are not tourneys so folks bring other things if they want to. But several of the players and organizers are planning to go to LVO - so they are trying to stick to LVO legal builds. That doesn't mean you have to build your list that way. Most all these players are new to war-games in general - I have not heard anything about what war periods are being used... or tooling up lists specific to tourney play. check it out... see how things go and make the list you want to play... is pretty much how things roll currently. -d

I don't have all the details - but a Bolt Action game day tourney will be happening in Aurora, Oregon (space reserved - plans stuff worked out) on November 12th ... 1250pts ("Armies Of..." lists - LVO style prep). This is not a tourney - just 3 games and a fun day. When I know more I will let you know... I hear they may have a game day as well in Dec or prior to LVO in Jan? I don't know - not going to LVO myself. I will be at this game day though - most likely with my USMC ready to roll. -d

There is another game day (not tourney just play) set for November 12th (Saturday). I am not going to LVO... so I will take my 2 platoon USMC probably to play with options. Typically a fun day with 3 games with interesting tables and a variety of opponents. take a look at the alternatives that you could print... that nice new resin printer wants to be put to a good purpose. Seriously, the choices on MyMini Factory and other patreons sites... are seriously awesome - and unique - and you can print them when your ready to build a nice new proxy army 🙂 -d
