Yeah this business model needs to die in a fire. It is an obvious tactic that I really hope doesn't work. But as with the video games and dlc, they will only stop it when it doesn't work.

Yeah that would open us up to getting all the wrong kind of traffic. Bearded hipster porn.. Anyways, back on track, I have set one up for my work and Wordpress is super easy to deal with. Sharing the hosting would be very helpful as well. I would say that a new position of technology officer would be a good idea if we go down this road. Another alternative would be to push on the store to get a site. This would provide for the local advertisement of events and create the point for new people to aim for. This would also allow us to keep the current forums private and club based.

A website would be a better advertising platform and a better view of the club. Facebook is an easy path to show that, but you have limited ability to use and advertise with it. It is much better to have website that you have control of.

I can agree with this. Someone there takes a whole heap of the admin duties off our shoulders for this and that is a great thing. Most of these costs really just go to the upkeep of the site, webhosting can get ya.

I have also been looking into the Firestorm Armada by Spartan Games. The way that is setup, shouldn't be too hard to bring the rules over for the ships. I like gothic, but it's a bit outdated.

Yeah the extra bit with some of the sanding is a bit odd.

I will be out. I can't recall who we were setup to play Firefly with tonight but we are both sick. We can either do it Friday or next week around the meeting time.

We played Firefly for most of the night. It is about a 2 hour + game with the full 4 people. We also played flux the board game. It was a light night with little notice. I expect it to build slowly as word gets out.
