  1. I think I'm good. I like the tools I have overall. I feel I need to get some automaticity with it and practice against other kinds of lists. Love another game sometime. I think for me what is going to help in the long run is just practicing it and working on not forgetting simple stuff like feel no pain on my tacs or how many psychic dice my opponent has left or other things like that.
  2. Well that and SM Ordnance, Demolishers Cannons, Riptides?, Suncannons. But yeah, not unplayable, just not the durability I want vs Ad Lance.
  3. Reecius said they are going to vote on it. I imagine it's going to go through. My thinking is that I can scrap this list and go with something else, but that will take a lot of cash and more time which I don't know if I want to do.
  4. Got a game at league last night vs Roberto's Blood Angels. Met a piece of wargear that is my nemesis - Void Shield Generator! That thing was super annoying and shut my centstar down pretty hard, especially when I got siezed on and lost a psycannon dreadknight first turn. We were playing BAO Scenario 1 and it was a really good game that came down the last turn. I realized more hardcorely that I need that third psycannon dread. They will be more useful overall in different scenarios methinks.   5. Having been running more tournaments lately, I feel bad for FLGS's in terms of profit and GW. The models should be decent for them (although I hear it is a nightmare that they have to maintain certain minimums to be have a wholesale account at GW, which is why many small shops don't carry it). But it seems even worse on the event side. MTG pack people in and only require a table to house 4 people. Two 40k tables take up the same space as 6-8 MTG (or any other card game). The Guardian Cup was a 2-day event and had 34 participants at $35. That's $1190. Even if all of it goes to prize support in the form of gift certs, that's like 500-700 for the store. There was a MTG booster draft that ran three of them at Guardian that same weekend. Each one had 100+ players at $25 each head. Even at 300 peeps that is $7500, so 3-5 grand depending upon booster wholesale cost. Sobered me up right quick about how much space we take and how much we actually bring into the store....
  6. We use some of that stuff at Guardian. Works pretty good. Not as pretty as some, but with the right basing can be nice.
  7. Just my two cents..... Having run cents a lot, their problems are their lack of invul save, their slow speed, and if they are all grav, their short range. As is, I'd go one way or another, all grav guns and hurricane bolters or all lascannons and missle launchers. I've used the las/ml combo to decent effect but also had a DA libby with a pfg to give them an invul save. SOme things you could do is get a thunderfire cannon to bolster a ruins for las/ml cents and keep them in there, hopefully in a piece of terrain in the middlish of the board. They will do work on Tau broadsides and with rerolls on pens will be good against most vehicles. If you run grav, you need a delivery system - stormraven, landraider, sw drop pod, gate to ensure they get to where they can do the most damage. I'd personally run all your termies as th/ss. This makes them the most durable and hammers are good against everything. Good players will put wounds on the angles that can impact those LC guys the best and make short work of them. I get why you're doing HB and you want fluffy which is fine, but it seems like overkill. I can imagine you want to take advantage of the bolter drill but 18 hb shots isn't all that much. For hunter/stalker, I'd run the autocannon type version over the missile one. I'd go for missiles over hb in the dev squad as it still gives you some anti hoard, but also anti tank. Just my cents for your cents...
  8. So lets see I have like 445 points and have to have 1 space marine troop and 2 grey knights. Could do: 2 5 man Strike squads 2 5 man tac squads in drop pods with 15 points left over (melta flamer?) 1 5 man Strike 1 5 man termie squad (halbers and psycannon) 2 5 man tac squads
  9. Had to miss game night but got a game in on Friday against Hannibal's DE/Eldar. He was running a DEathstar unit of wraithguard with spiritseers, archon, and heamonculous. They had a web way portal, psychic shriek, and the DE gear that lowers leadership within 6 and makes you peril on any doubles within 12. Problem was I was able to block all his psychic powers against me (aegis was boss) and he failed invisibility. On the subsequent turn, my deathstar ate his deathstar with help from a dreadknight. One dreadknight perilsed, rolled a 1 and failed his leadership and died cause of the DE wargear. I stopped casting after that. I liked my deathstar better than his cause i felt it was more resilient, and I was able to try to get off the buffs on my unit before moving. With the WWP he had to commit to move before buffing, and that is pretty much what sealed the deal for him. To top it off his rolls were pretty atrocious and he came in peicemeal to me. Current core is: Libby ML3/Hammer Draigo Dreadknight Hammer/Incinerator/Teleporter Dreadknight Hammer/Psycannon/Teleporter Dreadknight Hammer/Psycannon/Teleporter Sevrin Loth 3 Centurions Omni/Grav Need 2 grey knight troops and at least 1 space marine. I'm leaning away from scouts as Red scorpions cannot go to ground and their tacs get fnp. I'm thinking 1-2 strike squads and 1-2 tac squads. i really love my terminator squad, but everyone says no....but I just can't quit them so we will see.

  13. I still have an army builder bag of his with his name on it that he sold when raising funds for a house that I cherish to this day.
  14. Got a game in at league last night. Played at 1750 libby ml3/hammer draigo 5 strikes 5 strikes 3 Dreadknight Hammer/Hvy Psycannon Tiggy (Can't use FW at league) 2 Scouts (probably use a drop pod and 5 marines) 3 Cents grav/omni Played against Tyranids. The power of the list is starting to show, especially against weaker lists. The knights and star just cut through a tyranid list in short work.I tried to get invisibility but didn't, but did get perfect timing, which was key in wreaking havoc. If he'd had more shooting, he could have been more competitive, but it wasn't to be. In all fairness, he beat me last time with his tyranids on a maelstrom mission, but I got first blood and warlord round 1 and just kept putting on the pressure. Think I'm very close to having a firm list in mind for the LVO.

I had been using the Nemesis, but really want that third Dreadknight as they are such key pieces that take care of all kinds of large things like Wraithknights, Imperial Knights, Land raiders, MC's etc. The teleporters need to be there are the jump move is so clutch. The shunt move is nice, but I rarely use it. I'll try the psycannons as I know I need to use them as backfield holders instead of frontline troops. I'm going to need them to get maelstrom missions.
