  1. I really want to get in on this, but this weekend is Kyndra and my 5th anniversary. Is there any chance somebody might be available for a game during the day on Saturday?

    13th!

The year is finally beginning to normalize, so I am planning on being there!
  3. Looks like Army isn't exporting my lists very well...hooray for bugs!
  4. Quick Rampage review! This year MO got updated just a few days before the Rampage, and I felt it would be a crime not to take them. At 200 they feel a little constricted (very few cheap orders, no cheap LT options), but I cranked out an effective list and a fun BS list. (0 | 14) 3.5 SWC | 200 Points Open in Infinity Army The TAG list was just because I can, but also a threat like that is scary at low points. The second list is more rounded out and shows off the versatility of the new link options in MO. Overall I was happy with how both preformed, even though I got slapped silly in a couple of games. Game one I played against Nick and his Haqq. Highlights! -Seraph cut his way across the field in turn one, killing many and leaving Nick in LOL on turn one -In his turn he converted a few orders to regular and took the TAG down, as I cannot make armor saves on anything other than order sergeants -I move everyone up and out of the way of a Fiday, as he will make my cheap order monkeys dead very easily -TO Serg does some work, then hides himself away in a building -Joan can't kill something...so we all get into buildings -We try for a few checklist items and the game ends. A win for the Military Orders! Nick played a great game, but starting your first turn several models down and in LoL is hard to come back from. Still, he killed the TAG, and sometimes that is all that matters. Game two I was up against Erik G. and his Steel Phallus...or whatever they are called. Highlights! -I was nervous about getting beat-sticked as Erik got first turn with a very aggressive and punchy list -My AROs turned into magic bullets, as I took out Ajax and roughly half his army in his own first turn -We both moved to grab a few objectives and hold them. Can't forget the scenario! -I failed to isolate one of his bots 3-4 times, so I gave up trying and instead focused on tabling him and getting checklist points Another win for Military Orders! Erik should have walked over me turn one, but the dice gods decide that Ajax, along with the rest of the AI abominations, needed to die. Game three was against Steven and his TAK Highlights! -I deploy to ARO lay rockets on his link team, forgetting that he has smoke and can just hide them all (Pano problems) -His Vet Kazak rips some [big bad swear word] and takes my ARO pieces down, I manage to put a wound on him but it is healed later -He grabs some objectives and sets up defensively -I try to make a push up the right flank, killing a handful of models on my way -Luck goes south, I move poorly, my guys are all either killed in ARO or left exposed -I end up getting tabled with no objectives to my name, but getting whooped so bad allowed me to pick up a lot of bad-luck checks off of my list A major loss for Military Orders! If I had remembered what smoke was I would have not deployed such an aggressive ARO team, as they simply can't stand up to the power of a b5 AP HMG Vet Kazak. Still, he played a great game and absolutely deserved the win. 10/10 would lose again. Game four was against John (Jon?) and his JSA Highlights! -His heavy shotgun murder bot had a path across the board and almost fried my link team -Luckily I double crit him with E/M grenades, putting an end to his rampage after losing just one model -He moved up and got into solid defensive positions -My Bulleteer and Santiago took out a good amount of models, everyone moved up to not get bio-tech type damage -He pressed up his link and allowed the Domaru to get right in my business -I failed to kill or even hurt the domaru, getting my hacker and LT isolated/immobilized in the process (WHAT?! 😄) A major loss for Military orders! We both had a weird mix of luck and tragedy in this game, but Jon came out on top with his aggressive play style and grenade ninja Domaru. If anyone should take anything away from this game, it's that the game is more fun when everyone throws E/M grenades at each other. In the end I scored enough between battle scores and checklist to tie for best general with Erik G., beating him on a short round of tie-breaking trivia. After losing two games I didn't even think I'd be in the running, but filling up that checklist really makes a difference! Thank you so much to my four opponents, Eric, and everyone who showed up to make this event happen.
  5. Great reports man! Next time my knights will have to work harder on purging non-believers 😄
  6. My computer has been troublesome this week, but I'm trying to do a write up from the Rampage. Long story short, it was a fantastic event, I played 4 awesome people, everyone seemed to be having a good time, and I can't wait for the next. On a side note, new MO is a ton of fun and I can't stop myself from playing them.
  7. I can't make this week because it's Kyndra's work x-mas party, but I will try to make it on the 16th before my company's party.
  8. Of course I'm yawning in the picture 😄 Thanks to Eric and everyone who came to play for an awesome event. I can honestly say this was one of the best Rampages I've been to!!
  9. I've been exhausted and sleeping poorly all week, so I've made some changes to my rampage game plan. I'm going to run the updated MO, I'm going to bring one good list and one totally stupid list, and I'm going to have some fun. Now to get some sleep!
  10. They tried to schedule me for Saturday so I kindly reminded them that it simply wasn't going to happen. Feeling the hype!
  11. I believe he means for killing "more" army points.
  12. Sorry I couldn't make it out this week! I hurt my ankle taking a hot tub down a muddy hill, and figured I should stay off my feet this weekend. Itching to get back for some games!!
  13. I'm gonna sit this one out, but I'll see you for the next week!
  14. New Varuna is cool...but updated MO is amazing. Pity on all of you as I already have a fully painted and ready Military Orders army. Muhahahah! Really looking forward to the changes, but I'm still going to stick with TAK until I have a fully painted force.
  15. I think in the end it was just easier for them to make one wound HI then to make hackable MI. This way they don't need to update all of the book's hacking programs which specifically work against HI. The important thing to remember is that they might be reworking MO link options. Muhahaha!
  16. Played with the stupid all FO list against Bermen's Tunguska. His list was smart, worked well with the scenario, and had a lot of diverse options. I spent an entire turn taking out the Puppet bots because if I didn't they would have walked all over me. That unit is awesome, and scares the crap out of me. Details aside I squeezed out a win because all of my models could score and there were a lot of unconscious models that I could FO in the final turn. As far as I'm concerned he played the better game, I essentially lucked out with positioning at the end. NEXT WEEK! Next week is gonna be back to trying things and having lists with more than one type of model. I'm thinking of something like this Tartary Army Corps ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 7 3 3 STRELOK K-9 Submachine Gun, Chain-colt, Antipersonnel Mines + 1 K-9 Antipode / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24) K-9 ANTIPODE Trench-hammer, AP CC Weapon. (8) SPETSNAZ (CH: Ambush Camouflage) HMG / Pistol, CCW, Knife. (1.5 | 38) LINE KAZAK (Forward Observer) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) LINE KAZAK Paramedic (MediKit) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) COLONEL VORONIN (Sensor) Lieutenant T2 Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 21) LINE KAZAK Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 16) LINE KAZAK Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 16) DOG-WARRIOR 2 Chain Rifles, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / AP CCW. (0 | 27) IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) 2.5 SWC | 179 Points Open in Infinity Army The Spetz might get changed out for another heavy hitter, but I think this is gonna be the basic blueprint. TAK is cursed by having a ton of insanely good single model attack rambos and you can't bring them all into the list. One that I'd love to break out of retirement in the Autocannon Tankhunter. It's only burst two, but when you hit something with that model it is DEAD. A really scary piece against pretty much anything. Well, we'll see what makes it into the list.
  17. Should we be playing? I don't really know much about it
  18. I find this thread offensive.
  19. Ended up with a day off today as moving season fades away into the slowness that is winter. To celebrate, I'm gonna work on my TAK! All the models I have a currently assembled so all of them will get primed today and painting will begin on a select few. Out of the lot I'm most looking forward to painting the new Scout and the Strelok models. The Line Kazaks should be fun too, as for line infantry they have a lot of detail. I'm least looking forward to the new Vets. The models are beautiful, but I've become less and less fond of painting models that are just heavy slabs of metal plate. It doesn't mesh with the army's aesthetic as well, and I feel like it ends up a little more boring. Oh well, I'll work on my technique and maybe find a better way to make it work.
  20. I'll get to tonight's games in my next post, this is more pressing. So Eric says that next week's scenario will revolve around forward observers and flash pulse. With that in mind, I give you the all FO all the time list for TAK. Tartary Army Corps ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 9 VASSILY Lieutenant (Forward Observer) T2 Marksman Rifle, Akrylat-Kanone, D-Charges / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 35) STRELOK (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) STRELOK (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) STRELOK (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) LINE KAZAK (Forward Observer) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) LINE KAZAK (Forward Observer) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) LINE KAZAK (Forward Observer) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) LINE KAZAK (Forward Observer) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) VETERAN KAZAK (Forward Observer) AP Rifle, Light Flamethrower / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 38) 0 SWC | 173 Points Open in Infinity Army I'm torn between brining the marksman rifle or sniper version of Vassily, but either way I will have a list where every member, lieutenant included, is an FO. It's such a dumb list, I am so excited to play it.
  21. YO! Got my first league game in against Berman and his Tunguska. I had two lists to choose from so I rolled off, getting the list with the Ratnik (for the lulz), a line Kazak link with Frontnovik, minelayer Strelok, and an Irmandinho. He had a 3-man link of 2 Hollowmen+bot, Clockmaker, Interventor, and a few other bots. I tried to rambo with the Ratnik but he was mostly smoke with no fire, took out 11 points worth of models. Then I got him hacked, as I am really not used to have any hackable models in an ariadna list. Hollowman spitfire made quick work of him after that. After that we traded punched back and forth with Berman ultimately pulling out the win in the end. It was a good game, with neither of us succeeding at the simple things and overachieving with the weird ones. Next week I'll change the list up and throw some new stuff out there!
