  1. I'm a Big Mek with a looted Knight. Is it... A Mega Dred? A Stompa? Something else entirely? Both, depending on my whim? When I plop it on the table what are you comfortable with?
  2. They're just toys folks, and GW is a business that sells toys, and it behooves them to facilitate creating the means to sell more toys. This is how Rogue Trader was, no holds barred face punch play, or a friendly game between people that communicate about their game the hope to play. I am loving the amount a variety in the game right now. As you now have to trust your opponent that that aren't cheating you it should help us develop relationships with our friends. Dear Lord, it means we have to be nice to each other, and if someone comes off as a jackhole word will spread.
  3. But who cares? It's a giant robot, isn't that enough?
  4. So new reports say the Knight is "only" 6 inches instead of 8. The internets seem to be pissed but it brings the Dreamforge leviathan closer in line. w00t!
  5. Frontline Gaming has Kinights for 110.99 inc shipping, but you have to do the email for a quote thing. Just ordered mine. Waaagh indeed.
  6. The good news is that those aren't genital harpies
  7. See ya on the other side, Egon.
  8. Alt/oldschool knight kits anyone? http://resinlabmodels.blogspot.ie/
  9. via a Reader here on Faeit 212 Here's a reply I got from GW Customer Service regarding the key question, can Chaos ally with Knights? From: UK Customer Services Date: 24 February 2014 To: Subject: Re: Imperial Knights Hi Thanks for the email, the rules printed in this week's issue of White Dwarf state that "They may also be taken as allies; you can include up to three Imperial Knights as a single allied detachment for each primary detachment in your army" As such any 40k army can take them as a allied detachment. Perhaps the persuasive nature of Slaanesh has convinced a Freelance household to work for Chaos, or maybe they just pay better than the Forces of the Imperium. We hope this helps and that you enjoy the new Imperial Knights. For my brain, this means a cheap stompa. If it's really an unrestricted ally then I'm considering a "Freechoppa" What say you?
  10. My deal is that I need need to pay to be reminded how lousy a gamer I am. You guys do it for free.
  11. I don't cause I'm terrible at winning. ImboredImboredImboredImboredImboredImbored
  12. I have to disagree. Direct sunlight washes out colors and creates harsh shadows and horrible speculative highlights (blown out glare points). Daylight shooting is fine as long as you have some sort of shade, or better yet a diffuser. I treat these shoots just as a portrait shoot, the same guidelines apply. http://hilltopphoto.com/
  13. My squig brain looks at these and and thinks Looted Stompa. Needs more Dakka though, and a crows nest.
  14. Photoshop CS2 is free now as well, you can get it from Adobes download page
  15. How many do you want? I have cases of starters and some Inquisition. I'll gladly trade...
  16. I'm not miffed at all, other than I just impulse bought a 15mm one.
  17. Insaneo army idea: Knights as Primary Lord of War Super Heavy Tau Riptide Formation Never have any gaming friends...
  18. The easier way to take care of this is by color correcting your images. What you are interested in is setting a custom white balance in your camera. In some (not all) cameras you first take a picture of a blank white field under the lighting conditions you are using. Simply placing a sheet of paper and taking a pic of that works fine. This now gives you a reference image. If your camera supports a custom white balance function you can use this as a reference for the rest of your pics for that session. I could also go into color correcting in post, and shooting in RAW vs JPG, but I'm intentionally being vague as I don't know how complciated you want to get or what your camera is capable of. I do photography on the side and have tackled this issue for a while. It's easy once you know how. Check your camera manual or search "Custom White Balance" for your camera.
