Not constantly roaming the online forums to tidbits about 40k isn't exactly living in a box.
Though I suppose I probably do live in a box, it's called an apartment, but calling it a box wouldn't be wrong.
Constantly roaming forums is one way to find out. Reading the dex is another lol

How is this a "hidden" change to Oblits? This was all over the place when the Dex dropped.
Yeah seriously. The actual hidden news is that OP has been living in a box.

played 2 games w/ the new eldar dex on thursday. really fun. was a 2000pt game and i brought a 100% ulthwe brigade detachment. favorite units were definitely my 3-man unit of shining spears plus quicken from a nearby warlock (easy kill on pretty much any target you want that has 5-8 wounds or less, unless you get shafted by the deployment type), and a small unit of banshees to tie up things that would otherwise kill your units on overwatch. i used the webway strike strat to put the banshees and one unit of guardians in deep strike reserve and it worked wonderfully.

Can't boost them to a 4+ or 3+ right now, can you?
Actually, could you give them a 3+ since c:dh? I don't think so, now that I think about it.
Jokaero have authority of the Inquisition now too, so they can ride along with the guys they are supposed to buff.

For Orks battlescribe is so far off as to be useless. Off by 300 points at 2000 point level.
That's a community maintenance problem that will disappear in time, not an issue with the software. Also there are other tools...

Definitely it's great to have both! Whatever floats your boat :)

hahaha, i'm just kidding. my serious response is that power levels are great for learning the game. they save a little bit of time at the cost of added variance. the thing is, the time saved is negligible when you have army building tools like battlescribe. so really the only thing power levels do is make the calculation of army size more noisy, which results in games that are less fair. i've played plenty of power level games, but in the end the only motivation i see to using them is laziness. peace and love!

The transport rules say to "remove the unit from the battlefield and place it to one side" when they embark on a transport.
I don't see how they could be "removed from the battlefield" and "on the battlefield" at the same time.
Gw addressed this in the comments- if you only have flyers on the table you lose. Being embarked is off the table.
Also this change to Sudden Death doesn't do [big bad swear word] until flyers can no longer screen characters. Good luck killing Guilliman (or similarly resilient character) when he's hiding behind a wall of Stormravens.

No updates for my OFCC lists, but I did finally get around to pinning and assembling my Penitent Engines. Looks like I have 4 now.
Do you not find these overpriced? I think they are definitely better than before but I can't get over the price tag.

I like the list but would take TL Las on Bjorn if you can find points for it. Ive been running him a lot and the performance difference over the AC is pretty huge

They're FW

The tempest hammer option on them is so good, such a no-brainer! I love me some iron priests.

Definitely looks like a fun and effective list. Only major issue I see is that you don't have any units that will really take advantage of the command points. Everything is mediocre. This might not seem like a problem in narrative games but with matched play rules, only being able to re-roll once per phase, I feel like it'd be better to have a place in your army where that re-roll means something. I wonder how much better you'd be served by taking a single brigade and maybe some artillery or a super heavy.

Rune priest on bike casting storm caller. Nothing quite like having an army of regular marines, speeders and rhinos with 2+ saves

What's frustrating about these is that they could have easily been included in the brb as a set of d66 tables.
