thanks for the invite. you were a pleasure to play and i hope to play again soon. sorry i had to leave so abruptly buy my wife was getting on me to leave. otherwise i would have stayed and chatted a bit more! and yea, when artillery is on its pretty nasty. shocked i didnt have any kabooms, especially since i only had one forging... crazy lucky! also, i probably wont play with that list very often. mostly played it to test how good it would be, but it's not my style. i like more hand to hand and grind :)

we can do whatever. although if we roll up dawn attack, im screwed haha. ill try and get there by 6...

i could try to make it there at 6 but ive never tried to brave the traffic near rush hour in portland yet... so idk what time id actually make it there if we were aiming for 6. no worries on nasty list. im prepared to get spanked and i dont really care . ive always wanted to see a nasty dark elf build anyways!

yea and my other two potential armies that i could rush to make legal are beastmen and empire... LOL what are the chances of that?

that stinks. kislev was my favorite part of the empire and i have a lot of kislev models

oh i know it was just a silly joke of mine that i tend to overuse :) but still, with any undead team that brings a lvl4 general... if there's no juicy targets for canons, line um up and take that risk of fail lookout for ending the game with crumble, but killing this guy would take some impressive luck with two canon shots at least. pretty darn awesome looking model though. id still take him over the dwarf leader. wish the dwarf high king wasnt so rediculously overpriced. 650 points for something that is pathetic in combat with some ok buffs but would you take that or you know 45 hammerers... at least that 1000 point model can put the hurt in a game. would be fun to see anyone do a 4k game with him.

dwarf says after seeing profile, "... ... WE NEED MORE ARTILLERY!!"

alright i can definitely do wednesday night at that game location. going to try my list ive always wanted to try. since you are bringing the nasty DE build i dont feel to bad bringing this list :)

yea hopefully ill give you guys a better fight next time. pitiful play by me tonight, nothing really to do with rolls imo just better general across from me! i think that list gets the toss for me... although i still want to include slayers, they are fun when they actually make it into battle(aka im not playing elves...) back to the drawing board, which i actually like doing :)

*reads your 'mark of khorne' tagline*.... oh gosh you dont play msu daemons do you? my kryptonite list... *shudders* im hoping it means you're a warriors player that uses khorne. those games are a little more fun for the dawi cause its not an automatic 20-0 loss lol... be prepared to see my amazing misfire rolling. although i just had my first two games in a row of no kabooms, maybe my luck has changed :)

ill bring my 3k list and if we have time after the first game ill be up for it. but forewarning the 3k list is a essentially a gunline... i can make another list if you want to face something different.

of course! so you play OnG! ah my favorite to play honestly! them and lizzies... fanatics, squigs and doom divers scare me... plus that speedy hero on wolves has torn me up before. night gobbos have hatred as well. my 2800 list is more fun. trying to figure out how to use slayers and drakes, which im pretty terrible at using both usually. the 3k list is my competitive list. its pretty much a gunline... ive unfortunately messed around with dwarves to the point where i think this 3k list is unfortunately the way id play all-comer dirty lists. although they fixed alot of dwarf problems with the new book, they are still very rock paper scissors when you go melee, but i do love the mystery component with the runes.

ill bring both a 3k nasty dwarf list and a 2.8k more fun list next sunday. plus the membership fee and 'i need more artillery!!!' fees ;)

actually never played DE before. there were no DE players in my old meta. i am a dwarf player :) but i have heard of how nasty hellbrone is... i think ill be up for it. only a 20 minute drive for me and i want to meet new people anyways. ill let you have a more definitive answer by monday or tuesday but im pretty sure im game for it!

agree with raindog. there were some rumors earlier that 9th would come out this fall, but they really need to upgrade those old books before they do that. this edition has been fine, even for a dwarf who is now exposed to magic for once ;) not fair to watch beastmen, skaven and brets get passed for yet another OnG update. brets need it direly and that old skaven book is the most confusing book ever... oh and if they arent going to do any army books this year, they should at LEAST do some more FAQs you know like once a decade or so...

trying a new 2800 list. really want to learn how to make slayers and drakes work. i struggle with those two units alot. this will probably be the list i would use for the team tourny if someone adopts me in :) . who wants to take on some crazed dwarfs?!

np. id be up for going against those beasties again soon and maybe giving them more of a game... i definitely underestimated the power of the herd!

tbh, if luck was even and you remembered the ambushers(i would have reminded you if i was paying attention, ive forgotten ambushers at least 50% of the time i play them...) that would be a totally different ballgame and probably flipped. woodies generally will beat dawi from my experience. but i agree with those tactics. my friend from iowa would always just kill the OG and copters with poison/magic and stayed opposite of the drakes. he'd always win by a minor/major. but he was a super competitive player that wasnt always the most fun to play against... your list was much more fun! our game i think was the 4th or 5th time ive used drakes. it was the first game they have EVER done anything for me besides sitting on their gromwil butts drinking beer because noone would go near them... but if you mathhammer it i should only do 3-4 wounds with drakes each time i shoot unless its close range, then about 2 more. i definitely rolled better than that in that game. the previous game against beastmen i played them quite poorly, again, and never got shots on his big beastie units with them. probably why the hams and beards got crushed, they direly needed help from the drakes... also had no idea his bsb and caster were so powerful in combat. thought for sure the hammerers could take that unit down... also didnt think trolls could take down 38 beards. those beards have taken the same amount of crypt horrors down before no sweat, but that doombull really helped compliment that unit more than i expected. chalk that one up to the ol'learning curve. we can always have a rematch :) im bringing a different list next week. hint: there may be almost naked dwarfs with tie-dyed mohawks running around...

i just moved to portland and met a few people in the club. i play dwarfs and would love to join any team that is still looking for players! just in case there's any last second drop-outs and such id be happy to be a replacement :)

the dawi will take someone on. i can feel ya with those 40 halbs. still havent finished my drakes yet and i still have to deal with those afterwards...
