yea MN is right. get your black orcs in there and arrer boyz are probably a decent choice at low points. kinda like quarrelers for dwarfs are pretty good at low points. also, a big block of minos is just filthy at low points(sorry). they get CRUSHED at higher points when shooting and magic become stronger and they just get off'd being T4(you'll see if we play bigger games sometime)... also, if both of you guys would have had better luck with magic/shooting thats a totally different game.

what did your dwarfs comp at MN? mine got a 16... i bet yours was even softer than that!

it blows my mind that you went 1-4 and i went 3-1-1 when you just ANNIHILATED me with your beasties when we played twice... whfb is sure an interesting game. im also low on funds and having to wait to purchase my chariots...

i played against roy's monster mashy list and he had 3 in a unit. he played them quite effectively and they were winning the silly shooting festival vs drakes(i had never seen them played before that game, definitely didnt know how to play them). they imo are not 'great', but they can shoot 18 inches and are skirmishes AND can stand and shoot i think? they will win most shooting contests against non-3+ cheating woodies. played correctly they can have a positive role...

Kudos art. Playing the game the right way :) I've always enjoyed my games with art cause we both know he could play my army a certain way an almost certainly win, but he chooses the riskier ways to increase the fun factor in the game. Classy act.

if he's the guy i talked to a bit i think he did metal. i like swedish. plus that idea of linking like-minded opponents.

yea i was joking/baiting you :) slayers will murder it... deathblows. always wound on 4s. characters do D3 wounds to it... slayers are one thing to avoid with da big spidey

its the hero slot problem at 1k unfortunately. cant fit a bsb gorebull and a lvl2 barebacked both. unless we are playing that 50% rule. im doing the mino build cause i think it will be fun, not because its 'powerful'. cause i know its not :) i have 20 bestigors and i need more units in general so thats why i threw them in. 1k is a little bit tricky for what i have. essentially 5 bestigors per minotaur. there's positives and negatives both sides. obviously since both are T4(stupid) and 2 more wounds makes besti's probably the wiser choice, especially without a gorebull. i acknowledge that this list is 'pretty mediocre' but its what i have at the moment. a 200 point increase would help immensely :)

next time we play charge it into the crazy naked guys with mohawks. i bet the spider kills alot of them :) but yea its a fun thing to play against imo. hard to take down

so i have most of the models i want to use(besides chariots and piggies). totally unpainted besides many of the minos(from NtK, not sure if ill be able to do them as well as he did...). have 70 gor(ill convert about 10-15 for harpies), 20 bestigor, 10 ungor raiders, a ghorgon, 2 bray shaman, 10 minotaurs, doombull and gorebull. with school and research picking up combined with my desire to not paint like total dog poop(as usual)... this may be a slow process. wont be there for the 1000 points i bet but here's what i would have: 25 gor, FC AHW 5 ungor raiders 5 minotaurs, AHW 16 bestigor, standard gorebull, AHW bray shaman, lvl 1

i think i need some time with the wife this weekend. plus class is starting to pile on... i am starting work on the minotaurs/gorebull/doombull soon though when i have downtime.

im sure there are those in oregon that DO care and would love to do it. but there are those like me who are in grad school, work and/or have a family its difficult to up and go to the east coast(where they generally are?). and i wouldnt want to participate in an event to take away a spot for someone that could actually go to the event(not saying im a 'decent' player cause im NOT, but theoretically speaking). so it does take away a bit of the whfb players for those who cant seriously go to the event. saying that though, id be happy to help out if there's help needed. im sure we could make the ordo open a masters qualifier(?) and the black sheep guys got one, so we'd just need one more event to make it a third. thanks for the inclusion/suggestion!

yea metal is very good at larger points. lvl2 tzeentch plus horrors can be brutal at low model counts as talapas said. thats a very nice 1k list.

OaG can be filthy. I'm doing beast men list... so I'm prepared to get destroyed a bit :)

my first tournament as well. had a blast. seeing some of the crazy good looking armies has motivated me now to dedicate next year to re-doing my dwarfs to fit the theme 100% and make a display board :)

excited to see the snails in action! i don't think they are as slow as they look... :)

well your army took that 3" charge in the rear last game. i think they felt it cause they started running away after one go... and we are 3" normally but hey we can get to an acceptable 6" when we are ready to go! and even fictional anime school girls would beat you in warhammer... :)
