Should we do most wins first then most points second? Or just straight up points?

My vote is that the Captains decide the matchups in some manner. I.e. 1st round 4v4 North Picks first matchup South picks next two matchups final matchup determined by remaining players 2nd round 4v4 whichever team is losing gets to choose if they want first matchup or 2nd and 3rd matchups. Just a thought. The first round matchup could be determined by a coin toss (who gets to make the first matchup vs the second two matchups)

Barca (James) and I (Michael) get together pretty regularly on Thursdays for Flames of War and Team Yankee. We usually bring both so we can play whichever we feel like that evening. So basically every Thursday at Guardian Games there are two Team Yankee players up for a game. I believe lazarus and zeke are both in the beginning stages of Team Yankee as well, but I'm not sure where they are on their purchases. I have US, Barca has Soviets and US.

I sent them an email, no word as of yet Edit: they sent me a refund because it was something unexpected

So it looks like I won't be able to make it to this next week. I've had a couple of things come up for work and I'll be out in the Midwest next weekend. Is there any way I can get a refund for my pre-registration?

Personally I made 4x VADS, and 4x M113's/ITV's. This is the lazy man's approach, since the only different between the ITV and the M113 is the turret, so just magnetize your .50 cals and you are good to go.

Also if we want to do Bastogne instead of the Lorraine, there is already someone putting together a Firestorm: Bastogne campaign. http://forum.wwpd.net/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=20168 We can even participate in their campaign, and then we don't have to worry about the admin of the system, simply fight battles! Edit: Although they are starting this week, and will go for 6 weeks, so I'm not sure that fits with our time table...

Just make sure you are taking 76mm Jumbos so your normal 76mms don't get guntanked. With the 75mm Jumbos they can gun-tank your 76mm Shermans just like a normal mixed platoon.

Wait, did you mean to put September 23rd in your thread title? I thought this was a month away haha. I can still make it tonight if needs be, and I can bring my EW and MW italians, although I may have to proxy one or two items as I'm waiting on a couple models to come in. I assume we'll be doing 1500 pt EW since that's northwest invasion? Edit: I just realized that my wife and I had made plans for tonight, so I'm asking her permission to move those back to later tonight so I can be there. Edit 2: I won't be able to make it tonight. I apologize I thought you were trying to set something up for next month.

Since it sounds like only three people are showing up tonight, I'll sit this week out. I'll be checking the forums though for the next hour or so, so if we have an odd number of people show up post here and I can be there in 20ish minutes.

Are the new battle for the bulge books ok for this tournament?

Depends on the ARV, Bergepanther recovery vehicles give you a front armor 10 side armor 5 tank team, often with a hull MG. It can attach to normal panther platoons and take hits, all for 10-15pts, so for me it's an auto add. Other nations don't have as beefy of options and so I don't see them added nearly as often. They are very situational, and usually do not fulfill their original purpose (unbogging friendly tanks)
