  1. Next Tuesday sounds good to me!
  2. I am officially registered for the Enfilade tournament. For the Roster: MikeH/ZeroMoon17, AXIS - Italian Bersaglieri (Infantry), verified=no, registered=yes, North Africa Also does anyone want to arrange a carpool up? I'm planning on driving up Saturday morning, and then driving back down after the Team Yankee demo at night, so looking at leaving PDX area around 6:00am Saturday morning, and driving back sometime around 10:00pm that night.
  3. Daniel, I could do Dice Age Games tomorrow (Friday 4/1/16) night. I have not arranged games there in the past, but usually there's plenty of space. We could just give them a call and reserve a table for Flames of War, I've talked with them about it in the past and they have no qualms about us playing there. What time would work for you? I could be there reliably at 6pm
  4. I will not be there Thursday, but I am available every other day during the week if anyone wants to get a game in. Remember this is the last week for turn one, starting next monday we'll move to turn 2!
  5. I've played on one of their maps at a tournament in Florida. They are great quality mats. I personally don't care for them, because I like my mats to be boring so you can adjust the terrain features from game to game, but if that doesn't bother you I'd say go for it!
  6. For question 2, I'm going to go ahead and say that it is the only mission in this turn where a Desert Fort may be used.
  7. On a related note I won't be able to make it to Guardian Games this Thursday because my wife's family is coming in for the weekend to meet the baby. Daniel, is there a good day in the next week you want to meet up for a game, maybe at Dice Age Games here in Vancouver? I'm good most days after 6pm, Saturdays are usually pretty open, but Sundays are no good for me.
  8. Post any questions/discussion you may have about Turn 1 here. CURRENT STANDINGS: Kufra: Allies: 2 Axis: 0 Murzuk: Allies: 1 Axis: 1 At the end of this turn whoever has more victories in an area will score 3 VP's for their side. Special Rules for this Turn: Attacker Mission Rule: In missions without any type of Reserve rules, an attacker can send some of their troops on a wide flanking attack. Before deployment the attacker may nominate up to half of their platoons to place in Delayed Reserve. When the first platoon arrives from Delayed Reserve, choose any table edge (including your opponent’s table edge) to deploy from. All of your reserves now arrive along that same table edge for the rest of the game. Defender Mission Rule: After deployment, but before the game begins, the defender may move one objective on their side of the table. It may be placed up to 12”/30cm from its original position, but may only be placed inside the objective’s original deployment area as defined by the mission, obeying any other mission rules. Will of the Sahara - Before the first players turn you roll a die and consult the table on page 26 of the Raiding Aces PDF (http://www.flamesofwar.com/Portals/0/Documents/RaidingAces/Raiding-Aces.pdf) to see what the heat of the Sahara desert has done to alter the battlefield! No armored vehicles of any kind are allowed in the first turn. Points level for this turn is a maximum of 500pts for the raiding force (In missions with the careful planning special rule the garrison force can be up to twice the points of the raiding force, or 1000pts for this turn). 9. Fingolfen, the point values have not changed since eastern front was released. The only change in the digital version is the updated arsenals that barca posted.
  10. When you deploy the gun from the truck, you choose which way its facing (as that is part of the unlimbering process). During a bombardment the Truck+Gun count as one target. When making saves you treat the Gun as if were a passenger, so for an unarmored transport when it gets hit everyone riding in the truck has to take a 5+ save or die. In an armored transport you only take a save if your transport dies.
  11. The gun gets dragged behind the truck, unlike infantry who ride inside.
  12. Are you still bringing your Desert Fort? Also if anyone has extra terrain lying around, please bring it. I think we may run short on Desert Terrain, depending on how many people show up!
  13. You could try a Panzerspah list, something like: German Panzerspah Mechanised Company, from Eastern Front, page 56Compulsory Panzerspahkompanie HQ (p.57) - CinC Panzer II L Luchs (55 pts) Compulsory Tracked Panzerspah Platoon (p.58) - 2x Command Panzer II L Luchs, 4x Panzer II L Luchs (330 pts) Compulsory Tracked Panzerspah Platoon (p.58) - 2x Command Panzer II L Luchs, 4x Panzer II L Luchs (330 pts) Panzerpionier Platoon (p.55) - Command Pioneer MG, Kfz 15 field car, 6x Pioneer MG, 3x Kfz 70 truck (225 pts) - Replace Command Pioneer MG with Command Pioneer Panzerknacker SMG (5 pts) Tank Hunter Platoon (p.86) - Command Marder III M, 3x Marder III M (345 pts) Armoured Rocket Launcher Battery (p.90) - Command SMG, Kfz 15 field car,, 2x Observer Rifle, 2x Kubelwagen, 6x Panzerwerfer 42 (Maultier) (335 pts) Light Anti-aircraft Platoon (p.89) - Command Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm), Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm) (65 pts) - Equip Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm) with armour (10 pts) 1700 Points, 8 Platoons
  14. I've had quite a few people ask me about sending in their lists. Just bring your 500pt list tomorrow, and they'll be verified there. We'll discuss all the rules for this league tomorrow, and then I'll do a write up best I can with the rules after we meet tomorrow. Our Itinerary for tomorrow: 10:30-11:00 - Set Up 11:00-11:20 - Breakdown of Rules and Overview of the League 11:30-1:00 - Game 1 1:00-1:30 - Lunch Break 1:30-3:00 - Game 2 Note: Unlike a tournament we won't be timing out matches. I imagine that each game will last about 90 minutes, because we are playing with 500pt lists on 4x4 tables. So if your first game goes until 2:00, and you find someone willing to stick around a little longer, feel free to start a second match. If you can only be there until 1:00pm, just play one match. If you can only make it for a few minutes, the most important part tomorrow is from 11:00am-11:20am where we will be discussing how this league works, so please come to that! I know a few of you have said you can't make it tomorrow and that's fine, although you will be missed. Check the forums tomorrow evening for a new thread with more information about the league!
  15. Our escalation league would set us up perfectly for a Tunisia campaign, just saying ;)
  16. Just a reminder, this is happening on Saturday!
  17. You will be missed! We'll make sure to keep you in the loop for our weekly get togethers!
  18. I have a US starter set painted up and ready to roll. Still waiting on my VADS box to show up though...
  19. Daniel, I live in Vancouver not too far from dice age. It would be easy for me to play a game there any time you are available. I'm a little occupied right now as my wife is currently in the hospital in labor delivering or first baby, but after a couple weeks I should be ready to go!
  20. Just keep in mind that a transport platoon does not count for or against company morale or reserve counts.
  21. Sorry, I'm going to have to back out of this tournament. My wife still hasn't had the baby and its getting too close for me to justify leaving a newborn and my wife for a day, only a week or so after the baby comes.
  22. Nathan will also not be joining us. It will just be myself (assuming I get the OK from my wife after she has the baby!)
