I'd love to be a part of a one day thing, but it depends on when, the sooner the better. And Sunday would be best for me. I will be in Florida the 3rd weekend in may and work is heating up to where I may be working a lot of weekends in may and june

I would recommend trying to focus on Bash (Orc/Dwarf) or Agility (Elf/Skaven) and try to get very good at one style or the other, though there are some Hybrid teams (Human/Lizards). These are jack of all, master of none types teams, but I prefer them myself. I would also say to find yourself some sort of private or moderated league somewhere because the Cyanide run open league is pretty crap imo, though I don't play there so maybe it has changed (not likely). http://bbtactics.com/ has some very good articles on Teams, Skills, Players, and 1000TV starting rosters that are very good, though some might be a bit outdated these days. They also have forums for more specific questions, and host some BB2 leagues. There are 2 open matchmaking leagues and 2 scheduled format leagues (both of which will start a new season in 3-4 weeks). The fumbbl.com Forums and Help section has some good stuff as well.

Oh feel free to continue to grumble about vampires, the biggest grumblers are probably vamp coaches. And Loner Vampires would be almost unplayable, even with a blood lust nerf.

As someone who enjoys playing Vamps as they are, I'm not sure Bloodlust needs a nerf. ST4 AG4/Regen and Apo/SAG access/Hypno Gaze is pretty incredible, it also goes against the fluff in the rules-no idea how many people care about that. I think it could make Vamps pretty powerful. Sidestep is the 3rd non-attribute level on almost all Vamps; move that up to second on a couple who roam the wide zones, jumping in and out as needed while the mid-field is crammed full of Thralls and Blodge Vamps. Interesting thought though, and it would make taking Frenzy early on a SS Vampire pretty fun though.

OK the heat is back on and my fingers are thawed out. I will head to WOW straight after work. I get off at 3:30 and am working on Swan Island.

Hopefully I can make it (but closer to 4PM) but my furnace has taken a [big bad swear word] and I can't commit to anything until I figure out how and when I am going to get someone here to fix it.

Indeed. I have found my best approach against michaels' team is to flounder around and misclick on things until his Squigs eat the rest of the team, then move in for the win.
