I went looking at a couple of the usual Portland area spots and couldn't find any. Guess they must have sold out pretty quickly.

Portland Game Store should still have some. Call them, they had 3 or 4 yesterday

I have 40 built at the moment and will probably make my first build with 2 x 20.Their main job will be to bubble wrap the "Putrid Fortress"(my land raider).I will need to pick up more though as their regrow ability can grow a unit beyond its starting size so I want to have that option if it comes up.

Power wise, with 2 attacks each, yes they can be kinda nasty but due to speed and needing to get a fair amount of models into combat against softer targets that they can reliably hurt,,I dont see having 4 or more blobs of 20 strong being a very afficient use of points.

6 actually may be the tops but only for getting a dual Battalion.

With Fabius you could easily get A3 (bit of luck actually but still, either +S, T, or A) and Typhus works out to 7" (which is an anomaly since 6" is the norm) so you can get S4 T4 Pox Walkers with a Psyker for Gift of Contagion.

  3. Ok, to be honest PoxWalkers are awesome but I will need a lot of them . . . I mean, just going up against a Conscripts So am army could easily lead to 60+ of the buggers walking around.

Not to mention that they can be buffed by Fabius Bile, gets Rerolls from a Chaos Lord and Typhus makes them S4 and T4. He'll there is even FW Neurosis who lets them Reroll 1's for their Disgustingly Resilient roll.

So many fun things. I will need to get a lot of them.

You still available at PGS today?

Not today sadly. It is one of their perfect storm days.

They have a new Magic the Gathering set being released today and they do Draft in Friday's so it will be loaded because of that, as well as a SW: Destiny tournament which is RSVP'd to be packed.

I will be there tomorrow though

This is good. I really enjoy discussing the match with my opponent when the game is over and all the models are packed up. Basically go turn by turn and highlight awesome combats, one in a million bolter shots, and total whiffs.

Writing battle reports helps emmensley as well! Maybe work this into league points?

Hmmmm after the game is where I tend to blank on. Oh I remember the fame but I forget those points I was thinking on.

I have a bad habit of interjecting thoughts into a game (many times not my own) but i try to do it during a lull or after I correct a rule they may of gotten wrong.

Last night for instance, two players were going at it and they had done the charging phase a bit wrong (declared all charges then Overwatched ). When they got into a charging issue of a terminato unable to get in properly due to being to close to a unit he did not declare a charge to I spoke up and explained the phase and the steps in a simple manner. After that I added a little information that was irrelevant to the situation but I wanted them to know it was a thing.

I tried to explain that when the defender consolidates they must end closer to the nearest enemy model. This however can be taken advantage of. Let's say you are not Base to Base, you can consolidate into base to Base to that same unit but can mover AROUND the models base. Since you are the defender, you could consolidate into a position to attack someone who did not charge you this turn.

Pretty sneaky  but fun tactic that people are not yet aware of.

They did not let me show them and I understand I may of been an inappropriate time (I am not the best judge. Social situations are sort of my bane) but the way they pushed back on this hurt. I just want people, especially people who are getting started to be able to keep up or at least are not just overwhelmed too easily.  . .

The explosion result is rolled by the player owning the tank and can be rerolled via command point... valuable little bit for elite squads in transports also roll for all models then allocate slain results doesn't have to be squad specific so characters should pretty much never suffer.

Only one of them can be re rolled.
