I know that Jake resigned from being a warcor. I used to play at RC a little, but it really didn't feel like a particularly strong community. This is a good time to get back into the game. Fate & Fury Games up in Vancouver is about to start a month long escalation league at the end of August, and then at the end of September, Raindog is starting one leading up to the Rampage. The community is really strong right now.

I hate that scenario. When I play Ariadna, I go for what that author describes as an "analog" list. The problem with that is that it leaves you very, very vulnerable to guided missile shots. Hacking in that scenario isn't fun, either. Knowing that any hacker I bring, anywhere on the board, can be targeted and have his brains blown up, really makes me not want to bring hackers. The only way to control that scenario is to kill all of your opponent's hackers, and that can be really hard to do. If you're playing something that's dependent on HI, TAGs, or REMs to be successful (MO, ISS, Onyx, etc.) you can't even friggin' move. I hate TM almost as much as I hate Biotechvore (and my hatred for that scenario is pretty well legendary in its own right.)

...Is that your way of telling me I should try playing CHA again?

After looking at the schedule for the season, not counting the playoffs, I'll probably only have to completely miss one game night, everything else I can make, just be a bit on the late side for. So I should be able to be there.

Yeah, but your team doesn't wear the same color shirts as mine does, so your team sucks! Woo! My team forever!

How late do you plan on keeping the club open for this? I might have someone to bring, if it's still open by the time I'm done watching the game.

I'll probably be in Seattle (or on my way home therefrom.) But I'll tell you guys all about the tournament I'm attending on Saturday!

I did put the bug in my girlfriend's ear, though, so maybe she'll actually play with all those Tohaa models she has when I can make it out.

Bro... it's football season. Seahawks Sunday is a thing. Long standing tradition between me and my old man. :P I might be able to get late games in, as even the afternoon games are usually over by around 4, but I wouldn't get to the club until 5 at the earliest on those days. I'll be there, it'll just be a bit sporadic.

I'll try to be in! Can we move game night to Saturdays so that I can play? :P

1/48 is the closest you'll find in commonly available scales. When I have a table of my own, I'm going to hit the toy store and see if I can pick up some little toy cars. I'm especially in the market for the old Lamborghini Countach models... those things had such a futuristic look to them.

Most toy stores or hobby shops probably have a selection of die-cast toy cars that would be suitable. If you want to put in a little more effort, you can get the old Revell Snap-Tite model cars for pretty cheap, and they look good once you paint them up.

This is one of the new models. There's none of that stupidity, thankfully. Still, way too damn many little spindly pieces.

Change of plans. I'm at Guardian getting in a league match, if anyone wants to come down and play a Friendly, I can be here for it, as long as I can bail outta here by around 7 or so at the latest.

Holy threadomancy, Batman! I figure I should give the odd update now and then, seeing as I won't be at game night much for the next six months or so now that football season is back. Garuda tacbots are horrible models and I hate assembling him. That is all for now. Will update after next weekend; attending a tournament in Seattle while I'm up there visiting family and friends.

If only it wasn't an hour away at 10 AM. :(

Sorry to say, looks like I won't be able to get in that game. Between having to get in my league game that day, and all the crap I need to get done around home, I'm going to have to take a pass.

I can't make any firm promises at the moment, but I might be able to sneak one in on Saturday. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

I love this concept. One thing that bugs me about ITS missions is that they're too symmetrical. Meeting engagements are fine, but I like having different goals for each player, it makes it more believable and interesting.

Also? I don't have the models to run MO. So this is gonna be OG Vanilla, yo. Pics or it didn't happen.

Gonna have to miss this week, guys. Preseason opener for the Seahawks is Sunday at 5, so I have a Skype meeting with my Dad to discuss the performance of the new blood.

So I'm going to be in Seattle next week, and there's an Infinity tournament at Mox Boarding House on the 19th that I want to attend. We can bring a 12 XP spec ops for Rescue, Nimbus Zone, and Engineering Deck. I'm considering throwing all sensibility to the wind and building my spec ops thusly: Order Sgt. CC 20, PH 11, EXP CCW, Natural Born Warrior, Hyper-Dynamics L1. Because it would be funny.
