Army Builder says yes, and GT lists I've seen on the web say yes, but I don't want to irk anyone if this is not a well-accepted configuration. Horde_o_SeaGuard Posted March 1, 2014 Report Share Posted March 1, 2014 As far as I remember it is ok, he just can't have a mundane shield, magic items (ie enchanted shield) are fine. If you are talking about fluff wise or meta wise, I don't see how it could be overpowered as other armies can use it. May not be fluffy. Sure every other book released since halfway through last edition has gotten shield and weapon options for BSB, but we can't just assume that they won't arbitrarily leave Bretonians in the lurch. They just haven't addressed that certain issue. It's really not that big of a deal. Yeah, that's my point. No gear for BSBs used to be the law of the land. One-by-one they've changed that as they release new books. It seems silly not to just house-rule it because there is no doubt in anyone's mind that it will be changed with the last 2 remaining books with that handicap. It's easier to just roll with the rules in the book. It's really not that big of a deal. I played Bret's for like 3 years and just had to roll with it.
