I suspect we will see compilation in CA.

Unless they decide to do it as it's own compilation.

Orcs get released, and CF get a splash release. Hmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah, that's what CA used to be, so that'd be an easy fit. Basically, they're just spreading out the stuff from CA over the year in WD now and maybe a little more.

Of course, everyone's going to cry when CA is 200 pages and $50 next year and I'm gonna laugh and love it.

I still have yet to buy any of CA books for 8e. Between the leaked point updates, and battlescribe, I haven't felt the need to buy a book that is essentially errata for another book I already purchased (codex/index).

And since I only play in matched play games, the open play rules additions, so far, have not appealed. I love the idea of custom land raiders for my CSM, but if I can't use them in matched play, it does defeat the point (for me).

Kind of hard to pre-hype a magazine in any way that won’t have the internets screen-capping and over analyzing it.

I think the really hard bit is to glaze over the $90 price tag on an item that they won't fully ship to you for 12 months....

It's like selling a model kit that arrives with only some of it's components every month, with zero promises what the finished kit will look like, and they want you to pay 12 months in advance...

Just like every other monthly magazine subscription on the market... It’s not like Sports Illustrated ships you twelve copies at once.

$20 for 39 bi-weekly issues, $30 for 78 bi-weekly issues.

At the $90 mark, for only 12 issues, I kinda feel like it's an investment that I should know a little more about what I'm buying.

I didn’t say the price made sense, but them not being able to tell you in advance what the content will be does make sense.

I did mention in my first response to this thread that I unsubscribed from White Dwarf in the Nineties and haven’t bought a newsstand copy since the early 2000’s, right?

I know.

And it would be more reasonable if the magazine wasn't just covering GW products. GW can decide 12 months in advance, what each article will cover, because they already know when releases will happen.

Sports illustrated is covering topics that they can't control.
