Lyraeus
Welp, in my desire to do something completely orky.... And yet have a workable elite army I have pushed further long the road of my Deffwotch Using Greenstuff World I was able to make plates for the back of the orks to make them armored while the super old style backpacks are from the WOW clubhouse bitz box! Which fits because orks would scavenge those units. 1

Look forward to further progress. 4 hours ago, Lyraeus said: This is the list I am looking at taking... Is the idea that your allies will also be orks? Or will you be using actual models for the astra militarum and Ravenguard? Pure curiosity. Regarding your deathwatch component, @Inquisitor66 was doing something were he'd put an Inceptor in each squad, which apparently gives the whole squad the option to fall back and still shoot. Since yours are shooting heavy, might be worth looking into. I suppose your squads are non-primaris, so maybe it's not an option? Stormshield spam also seems rather excessive. Seems like it would be advantageous to have some cheaper marines in each squad to take AP 0 shots. The DW storm shields do look really cool, though. Not sure what the logic is with the Terminator Power Mauls. Any chance you could explain their merit? As an aside, any chance I can get/trade for one of your Deffwatch orks when you are done? I've been thinking it would be funny to have an "exchange marine" in my army. I could convert my own, of course.

Can't put interceptors in a veteran squad only in Primaris and Primaris don't get Terminators or storm shields. Vanguard Veterans do the same as the interceptors, terminators make them immune to moral and can teleport, the bikes let them fall back and charge. Terminators are there for the AP 0 shots. A 2+ armor is great at that. Mauls are cheaper than Axes, and give the +1 str needed and the - 2 ap. Hahaha we can see. The Guardsman will be Grots. I need a half inch of height on their bases to make them the right size. The Raven Guard will be Nobz.
Munkie
Really looking forward to see this finished and on display at the OFCC. I don't know enough about the factions included in the list to comment intelligently there. Let the record show that I object to a grot being your warlord. To resist this travesty, I will shrug passively and not worry too much about it. Be warned!

This one, though, mauls are +2 str and -1 AP. Maybe that's what you meant? Just seems like your deathwatch marines don't have a lot of AP in melee, so are vulnerable to good armor melee enemies. Should be fine at range.

Eh, the issue opponents tend to have is that they have to make it too combat and I always get a 3+ invul save

InfestedKerrigan
Am I being forgetful? I thought you could only take 3 detachments at 2k, and I count Death Watch, Raven Guard, Cadian, and Ambul. What am I missing?

The standard 2k is DW, Guard, Crusader Knight but I figure it's not a competition to win though that list would have issues with attrition, it is a strong mid to high tier ITC list so I am taking Ambulls! For the objective grabbing and the hilarious design for them to be chained to grots!
