Brother Glacius
If your car was stolen, and then found and impounded. Do you have to pay to fees to get it out of impound? A friend recently had this happen. His car was stolen and he reported it. Then apparently it was either impounded due to where the thieves left it, or it was found and impounded. Now they want him to pay a fairly high price to get the car out of the impound. That seems wrong to me, but wanted to ask. 1
Raindog
Yes, if it is impounded, you have to pay to get it out. 1
Raindog
Starting July 1st, the Portland Police will ask if you want them to leave it where they find it, but you have to sign a hold no harm agreement if the car is gone by the time you get to where it was found.

dalmer
(have them check their auto insurance, too... some insurance policies cover that and pay for all of the fees) 1
Guest
Every time I consider learning to drive, I hear some story like this. Cars are just too expensive for me. Too many hidden costs.
InfestedKerrigan
You should learn to drive, regardless of actively owning a vehicle. May I encourage starting with your Sports Engine Pilots License?

Briefly looked it up online. Requires a US drivers licensee first.
