Primaris Slammy G

So I said I would try and keep people up to date on the making of Slammy G.  A big thanks to @WestRider for the hammers and @Shikome for the wings.  I have the pieces, now to start the painting and assembly.  I started painting big Slammy G on the sprue because I thought it might help get me to some of the harder to reach spots. I am also trying to figure out Apothecary White (contrast) on the shield. I don't like how it looks, but not sure how to get it more white. I have a mixing ball in the paint and have shaken it a good long time. More to figure out there.  I just noticed I have forgotten the jump pack, so I will have to go cut one off a sanguinary guard sprue, AND pictures like I said I would...

PS... I mostly wrote this post to disprove the haters.... 😛 @VonVilkee

Apothecary White isn’t actually a white paint, it’s more like a grey wash.

What I find works best is to spray prime with Wraithbone White (or Corax White if you want a really bright white), two thin coats of Apothecary White with ample drying time between coats, then a bit of clean up with a white layer paint of choice on the flat surfaces.

Looks like I will need to go get a white paint.

Are you looking for alabaster type white?

How glossy you looking to go? I really like super matte scale color paints (scale 75) but monument is out of Arizona and built the brand on white paint. Bought a bottle haven't used it yet...
