What is the technology level of the outside world? The characters that "fix" the hosts...I wonder if Technology is so advanced doctors are no longer required. These guys are essentially doctors, they are fixing serious issues on Host's bodies, yet they all seem "desperate" to keep their jobs... DisruptiveConduct Posted November 11, 2016 Report Share Posted November 11, 2016 Im almost certain the people fixing the hosts are hosts themselves and it symbolizes artificial consciousness learning about the other parts of its body that never talked to each other before that moment. The hosts becoming individuals is misleading. The hosts all represent a different programmed personality aspect of the computer program. So there is a big hive mind that is compartmentalized. The code giving the hosts memories allowed the software program to start piecing things together. The maze is related to unleashing this artificial consciousness outside of the park. I have wondered this...as comments have been made in the show that the new synthetic more organic bodies were cheaper than the old hosts, you could apply that logic to the "butchers", the surgeones and fixers who clean up and repair the bodies. We have seen ZERO of their personal lives, only the personal lives of the "upper ups". Though if this is the case, wouldn't all the higher floor departments been freaking out when Felix walked Maeve around so much of the complex?
