The Stillness Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 Hey folks, It obviously behooves a BB player to write names and positions on the bases of the minis (something somewhat unique to BB). I've been looking around for a light or white micron paint pen that I can use for this purpose, with little luck. The smallest I've found are 1mm, which frankly are kind of fat and difficult to get decent penmanship out of on a base. I'm sure I can figure it out with a fine-tipped brush, but I thought I'd canvass the vets to see if there are solutions out there I'm not finding. Thanks! Quote
Brick Bungalow Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 In my experience brushes are far better than pens for this particular task. Water transfers are also good. Quote
Burk Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 look at micheals for the micron pens. that is where they have them, but I have never seen white. http://www.michaels.com/pigma-micron-archival-black-ink-pen/M10255138.html Quote
savion47 Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 I picked up a white gel pen to do some of this. While not as fine as a brush, I did have some success with it. It does write over black paint fine and stays on. The specific one I got at Michaels is a "Gelly Roll 08" 2 Quote

ninefinger Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 I was at the art and craft store on Lombard (craftsman supply? Don't remember the name...) and there don't appear to be white microns. basic colors and black, only. I'm planning to paint my bases a light grey or some such. Quote
