Continued thanks for all the replies... much appreciated!

I bought a bunch of dropper tubes to transfer what Citadel paints I have over to those, and decided on getting the Vallejo Game Color 72-set.  Thanks again for providing information, really appreciate it!

It's a good call and you will be happy with them. I do recommend adding Army Painter's metallic set. In all my experimenting, they easily have the best coverage. And bonus: the metallic set is cheap enough to add to any collection.

  3. I have steadily and deliberately worked my way through paint sets from many manufacturers (it's just a stupid painting nerd thing). I am currently on Army Painter and considering all factors including price, I recommend their sets for starters or people getting back into the hobby. I am also looking forward to their Speed Paints as I love Contrast paints.

I figure if I can move something from my pile of shame into playable plastic, I've accomplished most of my goal. I don't really know how BB plays, but I tend to enjoy my football when I get to be an immovable object, or have plenty of trickery. If I knew what army I actually wanted, I'd probably have it painted by now.

Now if they would just release a Tzeentch Daemon BB team, I'd be set. Big Bird at QB with a very Manning-sized neck. Pinks doing their best LB/SS with HANDS UP (Gotta go for that CHANGE of possession). Brimstone as a small RB. Screamers running up field as receiver. "But how will they catch without hands?", you ask. "Magic."

A new Tzeentch team is likely to appear in 2022 as both it and Slaanesh teams have supplemental rules in the latest issue of Spike magazine. Beyond that, sounds like you might enjoy Orcs, Nurgle, Imperial Nobility, or Dwarf (though no one will like you if you play Dwarfs).

Yeah, that sucks. Losing a player with SPP feels like a previous game was wasted. Losing a positional feels like you are behind a curve and it just takes fun away.

Bad example, I finished an online league with Ogres... I thought I'd play online just for fun... lose most games but doing blood bowl things. But I had an Ogre killed and another Niggled on game 1. Going into game 2, I had only 3 ogres.... at 140k each, I finally got to six ogres on the second to last game. Man, losing and getting only 10k in cash was a kick in the teeth.

It was not as fun as expected.

I want to say.. in this edition you get like 50-60k ( maybe 80-90 ) a game, so you'll get your guys back.. but the money just makes it suck for a little less. Lost SPP is just.. lost.

I would propose that when a player dies or is retired with a permanent injury the team sets up a memorial wall and you can assign 1 SPP to a player of your choice. This player is dedicated to avenging the loss or is energized by the lost players example. It would take some sting out if you can convert a guy that is ALMOST at a skill to a skilled player.

    Anyway Weav... good luck.

The idea of a rookie being inspired by the loss of veteran is cool. Assign 1 SPP to a player with no skills or something similar.
