  2. Hello Great Gamers! Thank you for an awesome Week One. I hope most of you can make it to Week 2. If you missed Week One, there is still plenty of time and space for you! Week Two of the Escalation League is October 1st! Time: 3PM! Points: 175! That is 25 more points. Bring Food, Bring Friends! Let me know, if you want a teaching game! I sat down with Josh this week! Mission: Barrels of Boom. Each player has five barrels. These will be represented as poker chips, but for game play will be Silhouette 2 in height. After Initiative, but before deployment each player will place three barrels in the opposing deployment zone and the remaining on the opposing half of the table, outside the other deployment zone. The goal is to shoot and destroy as many of these barrels by the end of the game. Barrels in the opposing zone are worth 2 points. The other barrels are worth one point. Note: The contents of these barrels are highly explosive. Damaged barrels will explode using the circular template. Any model hit by the template will suffer a Strength 14 hit using the explosive rule. The player who kills the most opposing troops from barrels' blasts receives another 2 points. Special Rules: 1. Command Tokens cannot be used for strategic purposes. Let me know if you can make it. At this point, I know Caitlin, Joel, and John are out.
  3. Holy Cow! We had 18 people. The rankings will be in order of points next week. To get points, make sure you post this wee, bring food, and assemble and paint models. Some players have higher scores for starting new armies or attending for the first time. If I did not get your models assembled or painted for the week, don't worry. There is a total of ten points allowed for assembling models and another ten for painting them for the entire League. Let me know the next time we meet, and I will add them to the score. Remember this is all for fun and the winner receives a free ticket to a charity tournament. 1. Aaron: 7 2. Alicia: 5 3. Berman: 4 4. Brandon: 13 5. Caitlin: 8 6. Darron: 5 3 Assembled 7. 4. We had a cleaning party at the club today. The club will never be extra, but it is better. I checked the fridge. There are no drinks. If you want anything to drink, please bring it.
  5. I must say I really enjoy this podcast. There is great enthusiasm and good chemistry. I have listened to all three episodes. It reminds me of years gone past when I listened to The World's End Radio Podcast for their Blood Bowl coverage on their local Spike-like tournament called the Sand Gripper's Cup.
  6. Scott brought new tokens to the club this weekend. They were high quality, thick, card stock. The type you would find in board games like Small World Even better, they were double sided! He used this company. It is called Print & Play and they are local out of Vancouver, Wa. You send them the PDF of what you want and they send you the tokens. You could have order on one side and you faction symbol on the other! Or you could have camo tokens on one side and mines on the other. 48 double sided, inch tokens costs under $5. Check it out.
  7. Now, the important question is anybody bringing drinks? chips? brownies?

    The Grid

I was looking at The Grid Scenario since it is apart of @thediceabide's October Exploder ITS and have a question. A specialist can Designate an Antenna by passing a WIP roll while in base to base contact. But then, then the rules say the Designate Antenna skill can be replaced by the Forward Observation skill. Does this mean a Forward Observer can Forward Observe the Antenna to Designate it? The wording is not clear to me. Ideas?
  9. Great Questions: 1) Yes, we are using LTs. And LT. Orders for week one. 2) Yes, Command Tokens can be used for healing re rolls for models with cubes, coordinated orders, etc! 3) There are no other restrictions, but when in doubt, take friendly lists without a ton of smoke throwers, war bands, camo spam, etc. Everything is moderation. One or two of anything is fine.
  10. Okay! I will have them for you the next week! Can you send me that link for your tokens?
  11. Yes, It should! One League Point Awarded!
  12. Jeff, Great Questions. 1) None yet.... Maybe later. 2) Not this week. 3) You will need no specialists. You may want to use them.
  13. Saving Private Ryan:.It is a great movie. I cry the end each time I watch it. Each scene propels the plot. Great Casting. Great Cast. 10/10
