Actually, I read the transport rules again and can kinda see their interpretation.

Also, units embark into fortifications - how could they shoot from it if they are "removed from play"?

I checked the data sheets again to confirm. Artficer Self-Repair Mechanisms / Masterwork Bionics are the self-heal ones. Master of Machines is the heal-other one that they all have and are limited to receiving once per turn.

Here's a detachment idea just for fun. Belisarius Cawl accompanied by four Tech-Priests using the Supreme Command detachment. Slow-moving but able to advance under Shroudpsalm most of the time for a 1+ save; everyone has 5++ and can repair themselves (d3 Wounds from themselves, another d3 from a buddy). Since they are all Characters, wounds don't spill over onto other models. High points cost is a big minus but might be fun for large battles or to shake things up a bit. Sorry, I was copying and pasting from my Excel file where I have things broken out by gun ranges. They are all just squads of ten or five, one alpha (sgt.) and 2-3 special weapons as indicated. Electropriest have improved quite a bit but I'm still not sold on how they'd fit into my theme

Dumb Overwatch question - Overwatch is treated like a normal shot prior to the Charge move being rolled. If the Charger starts the charge out of the Defender's gun's range, do they get the Overwatch shot? i.e. a Charger is 10" away from someone with a Flamer. Personally, I'd let the Defender still fire if I were the Charger, but still worth asking.

Ad Mech - they're painted and no one else seems to play them at my FLGS. I look forward to adding some 'allied" detachments and fortifications here and there for fun

Oh, I thought they had to have Sisters of Silence in the Faction Keyword

Since neither of these lists have an HQ choice, how the heck do you field them? Most battle roles are Elite (sisters, dread), Troop (custodes) and Heavy (landraider). Was hoping to do a Vanguard detachment of the Sisters, but who serves as the HQ? Thanks

I want to know more about Dedicated Transports within the faction. Would love to give my Skitarii Vangaurd a Taurox Prime because I think they look like the Dunecrawlers. Adding an Outrider detachment of a Techpriest Engineseer and three Armored Sentinels would be cool too
