  1. I know how lend lease works. I just have never been comfortable loaning out my painted miniatures because of the time that goes into them. If I screw them up its my own fault, but someone else... yeeg... wouldn't be pretty. I could see a "modified" lend lease work where you had a mix. Some people bring their own, others get loaners.
  2. I'd pass on one of those... Painting my stuff is more than half the game for me...
  3. I generally can't make Enfilade as I have a standing conflict that weekend and want to get a jump on the next tournament. Any thoughts or plans at this point?
  4. I'm unfortunately going to have to drop. Army is just not together and I don't have anything else that's close enough to slap together. Also had an issue come up here at the farm, which cut in to the painting time as well. I'm hoping to get these guys done in the next couple of weeks for another tournament down the road. Please keep my money in the pot for prizes.
  5. I'm still hoping to be there, but my army is coming along more slowly than hoped... :(
  6. I think it's a good idea - I'd have to go through my bitz boxes to see what I can spare... :D
  7. Jesse - there's been a lot of discussion on this over at the BF main page... key things to remember: 1) $1/book was ridiculously cheap and was unsustainable. Greg couldn't even run the servers on that. 2) EA got to use BF IP for free because EA was essentially a beta test of what Battlefront wanted to do for an online list system 3) Forces of war is, quite frankly, EA... the same guy (Greg) is doing the coding... 4) Going forward buying the hard copy of the book and then all of the lists on EA will be cheaper than the same book was in previous years by a couple of bucks ($30 books are now $20, $50 books are now $30). ... and what Zeke said... ;) ... although I tend to use Excel for my lists...
  8. Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday and Steve for putting on another spectacular tournament!!!!
  9. I'm in painting mode as well...
  10. Now I still need to decide between Japanese and Soviet... ... or Finn... ... or French... Greek? Oh I know... ITALIAN... I'm doomed....
  11. Still trying to decide between Soviet and Japanese... at lower points I may go Japanese, but I have a LOT of painting to do...
  12. Won't be able to make it tonight, but I'm going to try and start getting back out some... :D
  13. Interesting - so will the EW tournament coming up next year be 1390? What about Tanksgiving - is it 1900 now or still 1650?
  14. Okay - so you should have my payment for both this one and Tanksgiving...
  15. I have a few T-35, but was seriously considering Japanese or a Soviet light tank horde...
  16. Does paypal for prereg go to the same address as the list or is there another email? I'll be there, but I haven't decided on what I'm going to bring yet... *evil grin*
  17. Thanks for a great tournament! Thanks also to everyone who came out, I had a great time! :D
  18. I'm good with that too... I'd even be willing to throw in extra for prize support...
  19. I will definitely be there... Just need one more - c'mon guys!!!! PLEAAAASSSEEE!!! :D
  20. Not sure what's going on across the river, but Guardian is near OMSI in Portland and is going pretty good. I've tried to get some FoW going in Scappoose without much luck yet. That may change though...
  21. Sometimes you have to go back and forth - with the modulation colors, I've been able to use most of them "out of the pot" with the general purpose Iwata. Thinning helped a bit with the high performance one, but it will vary from brush to brush. For me the key has been working with the paint until I get it where I want on a test surface, and then moving it immediately over to the "real thing." The surface itself also unfortunately plays a role, so there is no "one size fits all" - key thing is the paint has to be thin enough to flow well and not clog the airbrush and the airflow (and pressure) needs to be consistent. An inline water filter doesn't hurt either.
