  1. I have a few books around the house that I used as well - I'll dig them out this weekend.
  2. Final part is up!!! :D http://bel-podcast.blogspot.co.nz/2016/04/the-battle-of-tarawa-mini-campaign-day-4.html
  3. Since my son is starting to get into Warhammer 40K - I'm starting the new Space Wolves Army. I've also done a deep dive into the old bits box and found a few gems that I'm trying to bring back to life. Current project is resurrecting a classic predator (and I mean CLASSIC): Full story here: http://miniordnancerev.blogspot.com/2016/04/resurrecting-classic-predator-part-1.html
  4. Part 3 is now up! http://bel-podcast.blogspot.co.nz/2016/04/the-battle-of-tarawa-mini-campaign-day-3.html

  6. Part 2 is now up as well! http://bel-podcast.blogspot.co.nz/2016/04/the-battle-of-tarawa-mini-campaign-day-2.html
  7. Guys over at Behind Enemy Lines have posted a cool new mini-campaign covering the Battle of Tarawa for Flames of War Pacific written by your's truly - Part 1 is up now! http://bel-podcast.blogspot.co.nz/2016/04/the-battle-of-tarawa-mini-campaign-day-1.html
  8. Toys! So much to paint, so little time...
  9. I think I still have one or two of the originals running around - used them in an "old school" squad... :D
  10. I need to go get myself registered... will try and do that before the end of the week.
  11. Warp storms probably braided their hair... ;-)
  12. Thanks, then my old Eastern Front hardcover should work fine. :-)
  13. The Tunisian list is different than the Eastern Front list... I may have to bite the bullet and get the digital briefing. I've also considered sticking with the stock 3.7cm gun and giving it the upped ammo so I can get a panzerknacker for the Grenadiers...
  14. So I am still using the old Eastern Front pre minor update. Could someone please validate my points? 1942 Schwere Panzerkompanie HQ - 1 Tiger I E and 1 Panzer III N + Sd Kfz 9 (18t) recovery vehicle (510 pts) Combat 1 - 1 Tiger I E (385 pts) Combat 2 - 1 Tiger I E (385 pts) Support 1 - Grenadier Platoon - 4 Grenadier Squads + Light Mortar (215 pts) Support 2 - Rocket Launcher Battery - 4 15cm NW41 + Transport + Anti-tank Section with 5cm PaK38 gun (205 pts) Total: 4 platoons, 1700 points
  15. I'm planning on updating these guys with a few more points - will likely get rolled badly - but I'll look good dying... http://miniordnancerev.blogspot.com/2014/10/502-ready-for-tournament-now-with.html
  16. Indeed - and my own painting studio... though I'll likely have to share it some with my son...
  17. I'm going to try to start getting out some - but we're in the middle of getting ready to build our now house... with a game room... where we can play Flames of War...
  18. Finally compiled all that I have on how to paint Japanese tanks with my best current color matches for the following colors: Pre-1942 Khaki (Khaki-iro) Pre-1942 Khaki (Khaki-iro) - Alternate Pre-1942 Mahogany Brown (Tochi-iro) "Pre-1942 Olive Green (Midori-iro)" Yellow (Disruptive Striping) Post-1942 Khaki (Karekusa-iro) Post-1942 Brown (Tochi-iro) Post-1942 Olive Green (Tsutikusa-iro) Post-1942 Green (Kusa-iro) At this point I have Mr. Color, Ammo of MIG, Vallejo, Battlefront, and Tamiya equivalents worked out. Full details and a handy color chart at: http://miniordnancerev.blogspot.com/2016/03/japanese-tank-painting-guide.html
  19. I see purchases in my future...
  20. Sadly I'm booked the 19th as well, but I'll try and get a game in before the 1st...
  21. Any time you're dealing with a lot of special rules it's sometimes easy to miss some of the finer points if you haven't played them several times. I had to consult the rulebook a few times more than I'd like because I'd legitimately forgotten how V3 handled a couple of specifics.
  22. I've got the US and Soviet boxed sets, my Soviets are... well, coming along sort of... I'm probably a couple of months out from getting something on the table that's not bare plastic, but I can try to cobble some comrades together.
  23. Thanks to Barca for running an amazing event yesterday, and thanks to everyone who came out and played. The tournament was truly a "different side" of flames of war, with a lot of infantry on the table, and a lot of "lesser seen" forces on the table as well. It's always great to play Flames of War with a good group of guys, and it was awesome to see some of the more unusual forces on the table.
  24. I've got some ponies, but I'm using them tomorrow - sorry...
