  1. POOPSOCK!!!!!!!!!!! I am not too fond of the menu system, it seems pretty clunky to me. Anyone else notice this? Also I am having a glitching issue but that'll be related to my hardware. I basically get minor freeze-ups and the sound gets all staticy. It might be my video card which is better than recommended but not up to suggested, but with the sound cutting up like it does I think I am going to upgrade to 16GB of ram to see if that helps.
  2. I have been playing 40K and fantasy for some 25+ years (Started 40k in 89 or 90 as I recall). 5-8 years ago I seriously slowed my purchasing (actually it probably started around 14 years ago, buying a house has a way of reducing your disposable income... but the conscious decision was 5-8 years ago). In the last couple years I have bought almost nothing other than new books (which is still expensive). But then GW did me a favor. They blew up the Old world and remade their fluff into something much sillier. They remade my main game into something that doesn't appeal to me much. I now have no desire to spend money on GW products or to play their games. Thanks GW, my limited game time can now be spent on games from companies that care about their gaming community!!! Yeah, It makes me sad... but F$&k 'em.
  3. Just played through the intro and a bit further. Good times, interesting setup. And I even have tomorrow off! Thanks Veterans!!!
  4. I haven't played Kirai in M2E, but she used to be insane in the last edition. Veskit is well versed in her use and pretty much swears by her. I really want to get her back on the table and try her out but just haven't been getting any games in.
  5. I tried to click "like" on this 50 more times... but I guess the forum does not support this... It almost seems like he was built for this type of role.
  6. Yeah, this is a trap that many "engine" masters can easily fall into. Somer can spend all game summoning and then... oops, I forgot to get some objectives. This was something I really had to learn to balance him on when playing a summon list. I mean "easy button" a little more of cognitive burn than winning. Perdita is a good example of this. Move a but, do some tricks, kill everything in range... most of the high combat masters are fairly easy (with a dash of various tricks). Of course I think part of this ease though is due to us all being well conditioned to attempt to murder each others models in every other game.
  7. I saw him back in June and he was doing really well. Still had lots of swelling and more surgery to come, but he was doing well.
  8. Geez man, I am just messing with you! I think you are sorta right about internal faction power. Some Masters come with an easy button. But some of the ones that look questionable are because you haven't found the good stuff yet (not that I have either). Practically every time I look up strategies on a master/model I learn something new. But some models/masters will just never be quite as good as others... which is sad, but Humans design this game, and they are not known for perfection. Have you looked at Hoffman with the Arcanist Constructs option? Joss for some scrap creation and general hefty fighting maybe? I am honestly not too familiar with Hoffman. As for a game, I would love to, but realistically I probably won't have a chance anytime soon (Hell, my last game was in May ). Definitely something we should try to do sometime in the future though.
  9. Sheesh man! :P I think with Malifaux you don't need to worry about external balances as much assuming that the players do not pigeon hole their lists. If you always play your Lilith crew and I always play my... something squishy, then the game might be lopsided and unfun for us. But, if I see your crew and change up my next one a bit, and you do the same, it keeps things fresh and balances out. But back to the question, Seamus is pretty nasty, but I am not sure how he stacks up to the other ressers as I have played them all little to none under M2E. Gremlins, being my main faction (mostly due to paint and excessive fun), Somer is the king of all trades (forget Jack). You can center a crew on him to do any strats and schemes you want. Ophelia is like a mini Perdita. Her and her family are the outright deadly when used right, but probably a bit harder to use than the Perdita crew due to being a bit squishier. Brewmaster is a super crazy denier. He creates a bubble of "You can't do that" which is really odd, but fun, though I have not played him since he was finalized due to delays in model production (have them now, just haven't gotten them on the table yet.)
  10. Cthulhu Christmas cards? Can you say "YES!" fast enough? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1464564021/cthulhu-christmas-greeting-cards And some Shirts and stuff: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/strangearcade/strange-arcade
  11. What a bunch of show offs! Played our first game last night. I said "Hey guys, let me demo this with some one" and ended up with 5 players (me included). We divided the ships and played with the Core Set plus Assault Frigate and Gladiator. One player wanted to play the Tie Fighters so we ended up with 2 rebels and three imperials. Teaching 4 people was surprisingly easy and game play was fairly fast for a bunch of noobs... and that I can get behind. Over the course of 6 turns we had 2 Tie Fighters and Two x-wings die, and the Corvette flew off the board. The Victory class was near dead but otherwise not a lot happened. All in all, everyone had fun and liked the game but we all needed to get better at maneuvering.
  12. As long as there are no "this action cannot declare triggers" restrictions on the steal/borrowing ability then yes, triggers are usable.
  13. I thought I had posted this one earlier. It looks like a cool coop explorer, has tons of cards: Ends in 15 hours! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1926712971/the-7th-continent-explore-survive-you-are-the-hero
  14. I use smooth-on products... for pretty much everything. Pretty sure Jim Graham is using the same these days.
  15. I still do not have a tracking number.
  16. I use The Breach, which is out of date with the new book but still works on my iPhone. I have heard that they are in the process of making a new up to date one, but I have no idea about any timeline for it's release.
  17. Well, I missed out on the Miniature Market Deal of the day Core set for $50 because sleep. But I did it anyway, Amazon has the Core for $59 and I had a $50 gift card so... no real option there right? I also picked up one each of the other Wave 1 stuff so I effectively have one of each. It all should arrive on Friday. Now I'll just have to paint all those... wait... prepainted you say? Woohoo!!!!!! Man that will be nice to not have to paint stuff.
  18. I had problems with Fandango as well, but was able to get them about an hour later.
  19. In case anyone is interested. $80 is a pretty sweet deal on mini's. I have no clue if the game is any good. http://www.miniaturemarket.com/mgma55.html?utm_source=Miniature+Market+-+Full+List&utm_campaign=ccad7cdf50-Deal_of_the_Day_Alert&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_be5b9f7f95-ccad7cdf50-24373525&mc_cid=ccad7cdf50&mc_eid=4c6945ad93
  20. Some models just obey better than others! There are a number of things in the game that can generate repeated actions, If they are limited it will say so in the ability. This will often be a trigger that says "Take this action again" or something to that effect. In the old edition there were a few infinity loops you can get into, but M2E fixed those. You'll either be limited by needing certain cards, or in some other way that makes it really hard to repeat things more than once or twice. In the example of obey above, there is little reason to use it like this unless your intended target is out of Hamlin's range but in range from the already activated Child. If the Child has not activated, you could just activate it and use the ability without wasting Hamelin's action. But otherwise casting direct from Hamelin will be better as the child takes a negative when casting the masters spells. While you can chain obeys like that, it does not do much beyond waste your time and resources... unless you have some very specific situation to deal with.

    Hamelin and Blight

"Blighted" is a condition. "+#" is the current level of blighted. Each turn, you add on to the blighted level. so 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4 etc. You do not double the blighted level each turn.

  23. That is certainly true, and it is an ingenious business move on their part. Traditionally game companies have to try to guess how many they should produce weighing the expense (probably taking a loan) (more equals cheaper per unit) against expected demand. If they mess up this they risk selling out or sitting on a pile of unsellable stock. With the KS, they get to have a solid number of sales to base production numbers from. It leaves them with whatever they choose to print on top of that for store sales. You are correct that it cuts out the middle man which hurts distributors and retail stores, but it is a great move for them.
  24. I have not gotten my notification yet... soon I hope.
