  5. Since it was announced at GAMA, I'd guess it will be in the next couple of months. Many years ago, I was there and got a copy of Epic about a month before release. Good times. Something else I was pondering: and This to me sounds like maybe the Organized play system is not the campaign and only the campaign will have a points system (I'd guess in a "add X to unit" between games type capacity). Might just be that BoLS worded it funny, but the points system may not work outside of the campaign.
  6. I hesitate to care. I mean, a point system would certainly be nice, but it's too little too late for me I think. And quite honestly, they tossed organized play to the wind and built their lines with out it in mind, so: A) Will this system be well thought out and balanced? Or just a simple tack on rule set that is quick dirty and not too well thought out? I mean I would hope for the former... but... GW.... B) Why should the organized play community accept GW back into it? Sure people playing AoS will enjoy new bits to play with, but why should communities toss their own systems for GW's? And what about 3-4 years down the road? Will GW ditch it again? Impose restrictions? Who knows. It just doesn't seem like a safe investment. GW is like that ex-girlfriend that wants to get you back after realizing the guy she cheated with is an [Clown].

    New to Malifaux

    Friday nights at Guardian Games is the main group I know of (and beerlifaux monthly there). Your wave one models are golden, but you will need M2E stat cards to use them. There are arsenal decks to get you fully updated or if you just need a few there is a site that sells singles.

  12. Right, but in 5 players you also have no areas destroyed, so basically you are squeezing the 6th player onto the 5 player board. Honestly though, I am not trying to discourage you from give it a go, but that was my concern looking at it. I am definitely interested in hearing how it goes. Let us know.
  13. I think you might be tight on board space. As is, each player under 5 blocks a space, but adding player 6 will not add any space. While the game will mechanically work, I wonder is some strategies might suffer due to over crowding.
  14. Doesn't it only go to 5 players? There are 6 Clans, but one of the Clan expansions does not only adds a clan, not another player. Our first game was 5 players and other than a rules screw up it went pretty well. Oh yeah and 2 player seems really lame. Wondering how it works with three? Often games that go two to whatever are more "Yeah sure, the mechanics still work with two players" than "Is a fun game at two players". BloodRage really screamed that to me.

  17. Errr... Gremlins still misfire the same amount (which is ~1/4 of the time) and now just die a bit more when taking the third action. I dropped Rasputina by using the advantage of my crew where it was effective(basically having lots of shots instead of quality shots). Using a higher skilled crew would kill her faster... being he defense was 3.
  18. Oh I don't know, Avatar Raspy usually died to hails of gunfire the before the end of the turn she manifested for me. Me: Oh you wasted actions manifesting? Man I still have all these gremlins to activate...
