Hades Breaching Drill Veterans. The drill looks so much fun and can answer the call to all kinds of situations. For some reason they chose the most reject "Veterans" to be the crew. Ok Veterans with 1 attack, shoots on a 4+, only 2 special weapons, no access to lasguns or a heavy flamer. Did the mole people decide to provide the veterans? That needs to be fixed.
It depends on what you are fighting. I just got done playing Necrons and I didn't like it very much. Regenerating units, Shields that deny damage, and getting up the entire game with full wounds. I feel that the army doesn't have a face melter per say but on the other hand the overall rules for them are just BS at times. When Necrons can hit in CC on a 3+ that right there is lies. Someone decided Windows 95 robots needed to lose all their weaknesses this edition. I know they don't have psykers but at this point that is literally the only weakness.
Have you been playing Crazy man the Infinite? His super saiyan mode is just bananas. I would take him every game.
But to answer the topic question, Yarrick with 50 conscripts. SO MANY SHOTS with the re-rolls as well. Even when they die I feel like I got my points worth.
I can't find my flamer template and I can't find the other part of the dice set that isn't the scatter die aka the 2-10 die. I use to move quite a bit and my wife is one of those people who likes to "organize" things.
Like the title states, I am looking for all the extra stuff that came in the Shadow War box. I would like the templates, counters, and dice. If you have any suggestions on where I could acquire some of these items (if you don't have any to offer but have ideas. They don't have to be the box set stuff I was just trying to make it easy) that would be cool as well.
15 just feels so lack luster I don't know why. Perhaps because it's a fair amount but not enough to be hordeish. 9 points a model though seems like such a strong incentive to try. Are there any independant characters that really offer synergy to foot based sisters?
True true. I'm thinking blobs with air support from those forgeworld bombers that sisters get would be cool. I also believe maxed out seraphim for fast attack seems good as well.
The sisters army doesn't really grab me though. All the other books including ones I don't own have made me pause and say "Hey that's pretty cool". Sisters so far have made me say "Wow that's pretty standard fare". They need to be dirt cheap at this point.
I like these articles on the individual armies. It says to me "We had to start with marines because that is what sells. But for once we are going to show you all the armies that once sucked and actually admit it. We are going to give you a reason to take models off the shelf and play with them as an actual competitive choice rather than for giggles. Entire armies that once lost every game will have a reason to be more than trade fodder. We hope you enjoy considering every model and weapon in your army."
That seems like a good answer to me. I guess I'm just nervous because of how much time and money I have wrapped up into this one project. I don't want to miss a shipping payment or update. I also got my copy of Dark Souls yesterday so it really makes me want to have KD even more.
You should probably start your own thread called Dlo's quest for answers. You ask some good questions but they should be on topic for something that benefits DK.
Magic is interesting as some lores are great while others are just a waste of time. Andrew is right about the wizards. I only take one big wizard and then dudes with bound spells. You may want to consider no magic.
I think armies like Tau and Eldar will make use of it quite often. Using ground troops to buffer high priority targets, retreat, and then allow the rest of army to take shots is a solid idea. I would use fire warriors or guardians to keep my other stuff safe.
Experience has taught me small arms fire from dwarf bodies is superior to flame cannons. They just don't do enough damage for the cost. You might get 2-3 shots before they attack it or get into the lines. I'm better at ninth than I was any other edition. But every meta is different and you might have a great idea.
