  1. With this supplement, you are invited to discover a new era through your Saga games. After Viking expeditions in Saga: Dark Age skirmishes, and the crusades in The Crescent and the Cross, you will be invited to enter the Great Invasions era. In 406 AD, some Germanic tribes cross the frozen Rhine to invade the Western Roman Empire, plundering Gaul, Spain and finally North Africa. Four years later, in 410 AD, Rome is plundered by the Visigoths of Alaric. To counter those exceptional threats, the Roman army is forced to leave Great Britain. The local populations are now alone to face their own opponents, Picts and Saxons. Meanwhile, a new threat appears in the east. The Huns subject many barbarian tribes, and then follow their advance to the Roman Empire. This century is particularly rich and eventful. It is full of great historical, sometimes nearly legendary figures as Attila, Aetius or Arthur.
  2. I've finally settled on a Captain for my "good guy" warband. This little fellow is from Forgeworld's Manann's Blades Command kit. I've replaced the model's peg leg with a boot, added a dagger, and swapped out the left hand and shield for a hand holding a pistol. For game purposes, the pistol will count as a crossbow. I've also decided to finally put some paint on Yorick, the war-monkey. Years ago, I used Yorick as a counts-as warhound in my Mordheim Kislev warband. It's a fun little model and as an added bonus, I was able to use it to taunt Fluger. Fluger HATES monkeys. Now, me-thinks that Yorick would make a good counts-as warhound or thief for my Frostheim warband. Pictured below is the progress I've made on my new Frostheim terrain. The building in the center is still under construction. I've ordered two more buildings from 4Ground, along with some carts and crates that I can use as scatter terrain in between the buildings. My plan is to fill up the rest of the table with repurposed ruins and sections of short walls from my store of Malifaux terrain, along with some additional terrain that I've collected along the way, but haven't yet painted.
  3. Looky, looky, what I have for Joey. It's the Ostlander Ruffian, Brian Boitano. It's a darn shame that without a Mordheim campaign, this fella is going to do nothing but gather dust.
  4. Trust me, you don't want to know what he's going to do with your giblets.
  5. Wanted Two to five intrepid zombie hunters to continue the quest to purge the City of Wulfsburg of its cursed dead and their dark masters. Terms for your professional services: - One fourteenth of total profits - Traveling expenses guaranteed - Funeral expenses if necessary Sincerely, Koyote & Company The Fire God’s cult was led by the mysterious Crimson Twins, a man and a woman speaking a secret tongue only true believers could understand. The Crimson Twins and their followers led a brutal, but somewhat short, resistance against necromancer Black Heart's undead legions and the necromancer's terrible creation, the Abominotaur. The Fire God's followers did not have the time to give the Twins the last rites. Now their souls, in the form of fiery ghosts, haunt the place and protect their bodies against Black Heart's depredations. Allowing their bodies to burn and their souls to meet their creator would definitely earn us the Fire God’s favors.
  6. Below are the four new Specialist Soldiers from Forgotten Pacts.
  7. Joey, if you are interested in exploring other rules, you can find a PDF copy of just about every Mordheim book and article HERE. This collection also includes a number of unofficial campaigns, warbands, and articles written by Mordheimer and others.
  8. Here's a pic of the new Barbarian sprue.
  9. I've assembled my first 4Ground Mordanburg building for my Frostheim table. It was a bit daunting at first, but once I got into it, it turned out to be a fairly easy build. The instructions recommend wood closepins, so I used them and they worked like a charm. You can save a few bucks by purchasing the buildings unpainted, but as far as I'm concerned the extra money is well worth it. I forgot to snap a photo of the finished product, but once I've finished assembling the other four buildings I will post a group shot. In addition to the ruined buildings, I purchased two 4Grounds 6" Linear Fire Wall markers to use as markers for the Wall spell and two 4Ground 6" linear smoke markers to use as markers for the Fog spell. The smoke markers are ok, but the fire wall markers are awesome. I also bought six 4Ground 1" Burning Wreckage markers which I can find a use for in other games (e.g. marking burning buildings and fields when playing SAGA's Harry & Burn scenario or as the burning ghosts for the ZBP The Crimson Twins quest). 4Ground is quickly becoming one of my favorite toy companies.
  10. Then you should probably play William Bleak. :)
  11. You were elected Temporer last Tuesday and you are already going on vacation? Who do you think you are, GWB?
  12. Dalmer, do you have a favorite fantasy movie character or archetype? If so, I probably have a Survivor that matches. HERE is a list of Survivors that are based upon movie or comic book characters. If none of these suit you, there another 40 or so that cover most fantasy character types.
  13. Wanted Four brave souls to continue the quest to purge the City of Wulfsburg of its undead and their black hearted masters. Terms for your professional services: - One fourteenth of total profits - Traveling expenses guaranteed - Funeral expenses if necessary Sincerely, Koyote & Company Our mission to cleanse the temple was successful, but the Fire God is miserly with his gifts. If we wish for his aid, more must be done to prove our worthiness. The Dragon Tower is both a monument to the Fire God and a formidable defensive structure, equipped with arcane fire launchers. If we can locate ammunition for the launchers and fight our way to the ramparts, we can unleash upon the undead a conflagration of holy flame that is certain to get the Fire God's attention. Before you sign on, I must warn you. The Dragon Tower is located in a district of the city rumored to be the domain of the Necromancer Queen, Medea the Faithless. And where the Necromancer Queen can be found so can be found her Ablobination bodyguard and numberless murders of crowz.
