  1. Its almost too many choices. But man I'm loving Tzaangors
  2. The best awards will all be team based, and there will be plenty of incentives to be a team. But for people without a team, you can still come and play in the event. And maybe meet your future teammates for the following year....
  3. Because the mandatory team was a barrier for some people, and kept them from participating in OFCC. We want as many people as possible to be able to attend, even those whose gaming groups are 1-2 other people. Under the new system, you can still form a group with your friends, you're just not required to do so as a condition to participate.
  4. As your campaign Czar's for 2017, Jeff and I are pleased to report that we have a stellar lineup for you this year. I'll be posting more details in the coming days, but you can expect: A Friday, one-day, Kill Team Tournament A two day Blood Bowl Tournament A two day 30k Horus Heresy tournament A two day Infinity Tournament A two day 9th Age Tournament And for our two historically flagship events..... A two day Warhammer 40k Tournament - with some exciting changes: Warhammer 40k 4 person Teams will still be in place, but will be optional- Players will register independently, and have the option to be a member of a 4 man team - Any player not on a team will be independent - We would move from team vs. team, to individual pairings The Awards will include Team and Individual awards- Team Awards - We will continue with last year's trend and not have a Best General, and instead keep the replacement of Best Spirit - Best Spirit will be scored through team shirts, displays, banners, etc. - Best Painted will remain - Marshall Johnson (Best Sportsmanship) will remain - Best Overall would be averaged between Spirit, Paint, and Sportsmanship - Individual Awards - Sports and Painting will be recognized List Approval will be eliminated- Other than providing a guideline regarding the spirit of the event, we will not approve or reject lists - We will use a list review committee to loosely rank lists on power and use that ranking to create initial match ups - There will be few restrictions, providing the freedom to have fun with construction - Wins and loses, combined with location, will drive match ups through the weekend - We will only use approved GW FAQs, not ITC. Age of Sigmar We will be hosting a two day, minimum five round, competitive matched play 2000pt Age of Sigmar event. This will be a singles event, designed around General's Handbook matched play, exactly as you might see streamed on Warhammer TV, or at Warhammer World. You can expect themed tables to battle across the mortal realms. There will be awards for generalship, painting, sportsmanship, and best in faction awards. More details on this to come, but it's going to be fantastic! Many thanks to all the people who volunteered their time and effort to submit proposals to run these events. We have an exception array of HoGs this year, and the gaming is going to be the best yet. Stay tuned as we provide you more details. Start making your reservations!

  10. Because of the weather, the senate has not met in months. As such, no one other than Jeff and I know the HoG proposals, because they have not been reported to the senate. So, again, trust me. I know what I'm talking about, and there will be AoS at OFCC.
  11. I'm campaign czar, I can guarantee there will be AoS. We have identified the HoG
  12. It's time. Annihilation 6: Fist Full of Annihilation is coming March 4, 2017 at Guardian Games in Portland, OR. This is a three round single day modified maelstrom format ITC 40k event. This is a format we've ran several times, all to great reviews. Full details and sign ups at the website: https://annihilation6.splashthat.com
  13. It's going to be great to see you Aaron!
  14. I need a single 70mm oval sector imperialis base and really do not want to have to buy an entire box. Anyone have one they can part with?
  15. Announcing Guardian Cup 10! A 5 round ITC Warhammer 40k Grand Tournament. May 6th and 7th at Guardian Games in Portland, OR. 1850pt armies, full ITC rules and FAQ in effect. Cost to enter is $40.00, but that provides a pizza lunch on Saturday. Registration is now open at https://www.bestcoastpairings.com/event/4rfwht0e
  16. How to deal with a centerpiece unit is entirely dependent on the mission. Most of the time, you deal with them by focusing on the mission and scoring objectives. Too many people see the big model on the table and let it get in their head and become obsessed with killing it, losing sight of what would actually yield mission points.
  17. Welcome to 2017! Ordo will be kicking off the new year with a Warhammer 40k casual narrative escalation league. Come get involved, roll dice, and play some beer and pretzel 40k in a narrative format with missions linked over the weeks and continuing bonuses you can earn as the story advances. This is a great opportunity to start work on a new army for the new year. General Rules Games are battle forged armies, all codexes and forge world allowed. No hyper-competitive tournament lists. This is for fun. Rules as stated in the rule book, no modifications (i.e. No ITC FAQ) You cannot play the same player two times in a row. Games can be played at Ordo game night on Tuesdays or Sundays, or at another time/place that works for the players. League Points Play a game that week - 3pt Win the game - 1pt Paint and base at least 3 infantry or larger models that week - 2pts Make a battle report post on Ordo about your game - 1pt There will also be special points each week. We're going to start all this in February, after people get back from LVO. So you all have a month's notice to think about what you might like to play, maybe scope out some new purchases, etc. The first week will be kill team, then we'll jump to 500, 1000, and then slowly climb to larger games. As we get closer I'll post more narrative details. Sign up by replying in this thread. Hope to see you!
  18. What's keeping the models on there? Did you put pins in their feet?
  19. Um, what is standing behind the mags, to the right in the picture? It's looks huge, and not like anything currently released for AdMech
  20. I'm choosing between four lists to bring to the Las Vegas Open Friendly. Because it's the friendly, the power level does not need to be off the charts. 21. The next tournament will be Annihilation style, which is more friendly. I'm also thinking of adding some rules comp to it as well, to tone down some of the more brutal combos. So when you see that one advertised, you might want to give it a try.
