  1. If you haven't paid the $20 for the SW:A league, you need to do so.
  2. OFCC is not using 8th edition. There is a Friday 8th ed three round event, but the main two day event is 7th.
  3. Correct. Just as in AoS, everything must be paid for. So models summoned, or split from units, must be paid for.
  4. Yes. That's one of the reasons I'm having 2 hour rounds, so that this can wrap in time for Kill Team
  5. Yes, it will qualify for ITC points. However, it is important to remember that this is still an OFCC event, so the expectation will be that sportsmanship in play, and list building, is priority #1.
  6. We will be adding a three-round 8th edition rogue trader tournament to the OFCC schedule, to occur on Friday. General 1500 its. All units that have 8th edition stats are permitted. 3 rounds 3 color plus basing required - no exceptions, this is OFCC. Mission Determination Players roll a d6. On a 1-3, their mission will be from the Eternal War section. On a 4-6, their mission will be from the Maelstrom of War section. Players then roll another d6 to determine the individual mission within those sections. Whatever mission you roll, the following special rules apply to the following rounds: ROUND 1: Use the Night Fight Battlezone special rules found on pg 252. ROUND 2: Use the Cities of Death rules found on pg 260. ROUND 3: Use the Death from the Skies rules found on pg 268. FAQs GW FAQ in effect Tournament FAQ as follows: No understrength units allowed - you must field the minimum In determining who controls an objective, you do not count the number of models within 3", instead you count the number of current wounds of the models within 3" of the objective at the time you are determining who controls it. If playing the "No Mercy" mission, rather than getting 1 point for each unit destroyed, you get a number of points equal to that unit's power level (not points, power level). Players who finish deploying first, do not automatically go first. Instead, players roll off, and the highest roll gets to chose who goes first. The player who finished deploying first gets a +1 on the roll.
  7. Don't need to pay twice. Just make a second team if you want to play more than twice per period.
  8. The first worker in the crew is done, armed with a blade and a shotgun. The Kharadron and Cult kits were practically made to work together - super easy.
  9. This blog post is for tracking the progress of my Shadow War: Armageddon team over the court of the Ordo league. SW:A has me incredibly excited about hobbying again, after being pretty burned out. I love the idea of a small skirmish game with progressive experience advancement – something that bridges the miniature and RPG elements of gaming. The outstanding terrain GW is producing for the game also drew me in. I’m planning on building a 4x4 table of industrial terrain to keep at my house, and I wanted to build both a theme to the terrain, as well as a force to go with that table. The idea for this force is a crew of mostly Squats – miners deep below Armageddon’s surface, along with some of the other mutants who slave away for the Imperium. Miles below the surface these workers discovered a dormant egg sack, and from there the Genestealer Cult grew amongst the ab-human ranks. Having reached critical mass, the cult is now clawing its way to the surface, collecting promethium along the way with the aim of powering the beacons topside and calling in their saviors. The new Kharadron Overlords for AoS and the Genestealer Cult models are a perfect compliment to kitbash this force. They both share an aesthetic that lends itself well to mining and industrial feel. I picked up the Goliath mostly as a display for the crew, and in games to use it as terrain. So today I purchased my crew
  10. Preface On the world of Armageddon a billion souls lead lives of desperation and struggle. But there are few whose lives are harder than the mineworkers of the deep tunnels. This wretched lot, indentured servants at best, slaves at worst, toil endlessly in cramped tunnels and gas filled caverns extracting the last of Armageddon’s resources for the Imperium. Few humans are willing or able to endure the work. As a result, the mine shafts are filled with squat ab-humans, engineered in the dark ages of technology for such labor. Mutants too can be found here. Having no right to live in the Imperium of Man, they are forced to spend their short miserable lives never seeing the sun, working until the inevitable accident ends their suffering. But in at least one subsection of tunnels, under one of Armageddon’s thousands of hab zones, the workers have made other plans for their lives. Rumors spread of a leader, a father of the revolution, who is telling the ab-humans and mutants to throw off their yokes, and climb to the surface to welcome deliverance. From deep below the surface of Armageddon, a reckoning is coming. _______________________________________________________________________ +++++ INCOMING TRANSMISSION++++++ ATTN: HAB224A – TUNNEL682 – SUB44 Processing reports a stoppage from your subsection. 11. I can't answer questions about specifics until I actually own a copy of the rules to look at. So for the first couple weeks of the league, while everyone is getting the books, I suggest people pick uncomplicated missions, and resolve rules questions between the two players for the time being
  12. Can you clarify your question for me?
  13. I'm building a Tzeentch team in addition to dark eldar
  14. I'm in. Picked up a box of dark eldar at GG tonight.
  15. I agree. You can switch factions. You obviously don't transfer gear upgrades, experience, etc.
  16. This is Ordo people. Everything is done in the spirit of camaraderie and fun, including interpretations of WYSIWYG. Don't get hung up.
  17. Or you replace the model with one correctly equipped. Teams can be as small as 3 dudes. This is not an onerous requirement. It promotes painting and hobbying over the course of the entire campaign, and prevents people from saying late in the campaign "that tyranid warrior actually has a venom cannon."
  18. Shadow War : Ordogeddon Overview This is a Ordo Fanaticus Shadow War: Armageddon league. As an Ordo event, the primary purpose is sportsmanship, fun, camaraderie, and enjoying the hobby. Kill Teams Kill Teams shall be made from 1000pts, and pursuant to the rules published by GW for SW:A. Each model in your kill team must be WYSIWYG. If you purchase a weapon upgrade for your model at the end of a mission, that model must be WYSIWYG with the new upgrade or replaced with an appropriately armed model to be useable in your next game. Games In signing up for this league you commit to playing at least 1 game every 2 weeks. We encourage games to be played on Sunday at WOW. The second best option is Tuesday nights at WOW. A third option is a game played at a place agreed upon by the players. However, you cannot play consecutive games away from WOW. Meaning if you schedule a game in your garage, your next game must be at WOW to count. You may play up to two games during any period. Players schedule their games with opponents, but cannot play the same opponent back-to-back, and must play every league player at least once over the course of the league. GAME PERIODS April 30 – May 13 May 14 – May 27 May 28 – June 10 June 11 – June 24 June 25 – July 8 July 9 – July 22 League Fees The cost to play in the league is a flat, one-time, $20. This can be paid at WOW, or via PayPal. Clubhouse fees at WOW are in addition, based on champion status. All proceeds will be invested in new SW:A terrain and prizes for the top league finishers. League Prizes There will be three league prizes at the end: WARRIOR: A prize for the team with the most promethium at the end ARTIST: A prize for the best painted team at the end. This requires you starting with an unpainted team, and painting and converting it over the course of the league, with at least one status update post per game period at www.ordofanaticus.com NARRATOR: A prize for the person who creates the best running story based on their team’s exploits. This requires a story post on www.ordofanaticus.com after every mission. Sign up by posting below. Players: 1. Weav [Scouts] 2. Savion [Sisters] 3. Steel Angel [Harlequins] 4. evil_bryan 5. 19. I'm in. Just bought the Desert Rats box, plus the book, plus the paint set. It's been at least 7-8 years since I've played, so would welcome the chance for somebody to show me what to do
  20. Keith, you should absolutely be able to play. I know most of the HoGs this year will be playing in their event
  21. Really glad people showed up and had fun. We had a great group, and an enormous spread of food. No one left hungry, that's for sure.
  22. Check in 10-10:30 Round 1 10:30 - 1:00 Round 2 1:00-3:30 Round 3 3:30-6:00 Awards and clean up 6:00-7:00
  23. Annihilation does not have random game length. That was something I deliberately did away with in creating the format. It's fine for a fun game, but I hate it in a tournament setting.
