Anyone want to buy some WHF models?
Don't you play Malifaux and Horde? Thought you'd like the change bud.
-
Because I'm ensuring I get a hardback, which sometimes backfires and I end up with too many.

I may end up with 2 hardback Thanquol books. If I do and you go with a model then tell me.
-
Get the book first is my opinion.

If the whether is bad, you can't really count on anything. If the whether is nice, like BeaverBeliever suggested, Bush Park is a great park to go to. Feed the squirrels. Or feed squirrels to the dog

No it isn't. Even that specific Twitter account later talks about how the picture is in WD 50.
It does now, but not when I posted the link. And from what I've gathered this morning, it is photoshop work. Just photoshop work from GW.

We already have a thread on it.
I'm not sure where Bro G gets his info, though.
Lol. Bro G so trolling you guys.

What I don't look forward to is this same thread in 1 - 2 years on the 40K side... Yikes!
40k is going to a more regimented structure, with square bases.

I'm reminded of the SOE fiasco with SWG and the NGE.
Sony online entertainment saw how well WoW was doing so after years of an awesome client they pushed a new game system called the NGE and lost most of their player base.

Pfft. Thanks Obama!

Fixxer, it's a moot point. He already has you on ignore. Further posts directed towards him are a waste of pixels.

Here is my take on it. I can see GW shelving certain armies. At least from the standpoint of going to website only, which in some cases they have already done. What I can't see is trying to turn Fantasy into a round base/skirmish game. It's such a deviation from what Fantasy has always been that I just don't believe that part of the rumor.
That being said, it could easily be that GW has this in mind. 9th could be exactly that, a skirmish based attempt at Fantasy. Yet if that is the case I see 9th failing miserably and 10th coming close on the heels from the lashing out of hate you'll see from the core that is Fantasy players. Fantasy players are not looking for that type of game. Fantasy player like to push big blocks around the board. Big generalization there, I know. Although I feel I'm spot on.
Either way, I don't see you guys (another generalization) getting all worked up and arguing over it. Rumors will continue to come out, but until they are more solid then what they are now, chill the [big bad swear word] out.

Do not go gentle into that good night. Old age should burn and rave at close of day. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

It stacks just fine.

Would it be ok for me to use bestigor models for counts as chaos warriors? I have chaos warrior models as well but i am going for a beastmen aesthetic for the army.
Unfortunately not ClassicFlava. Due to the fact that Chaos Legions already have both Bestigor models and Warriors model available, and the fact that you have other Beastmen models in your army, we find that this could get quite confusing for people. We try to follow the WYSIWYG, and athough we do like to see conversions we don't see substitutions as quite the same thing. Sorry bud.

Yes, the Sorceress on Pegasus is only -65 comp. So for only -110 more you get +4WS/+3Str/+2Tough/+7Wounds/+3Init/+9Attack/+1Ld, Thunderstomp, Magical weapon that deals D3+1 Wounds, +2 Wardsave against all non magical attacks, Strength 4 breath weapon, and immune to heroic killing blow and multiple wounds (from both magical and non magical attacks), and all friendly units within 12" get martial prowess which stacks with martial prowess. The 175 is a good calculation for malekith. Like I said, I had 4 units and had an 8. That was only 1,609 points of models. You are going to have one heck of a time getting the other "toys" in the list.
I understand your statement about his abilities but I can get the following while only taking a-65 comp;
Level 4 death supreme sorceress on a dark pegasus, cloak of twilight, and staff of sorcery.
Is she as great as the eternity king? Special ability wise, no. Casting game changing spells, yes. She's flying around with snipe spells rocking a 3 ++. Malekith has no survivability against magic. His 3+/2++ is only good against non-magic attacks.
So, yes, I think the -175 was a good call.
As a side note, nagash is more game changing because he had the ability to bring more re units/models to the table which give up zero VP.
And having 10 wounds/3+ armor and immune to multiple wounds is hardly no survivability against magic.

Yes. At 2400 points you wont be able to fit every cool gadget into your army. You will have to pick and choose. We are holding a competitive tournament. But it is not an 'Ard Boyz event. If you catch my drift.

Also a side note. If you feel that the comp scores I've come up with are too penalizing, you could always bring a straight Dark Elf list :D.
-
Both Malekiths are 175. No typo.

Any of the End Times armies may be taken. Players are required to find the Swedish comp for each unit they plan on taking. The list above is a breakdown of what is not found in the Swedish comp. And includes any additional addendum you may need. If you feel I've missed something feel free to message me.

No Khaine magic will be used.

Loving the new grey seer and warlord models. Less excited for the new rat ogres. A bit too expensive points wise for my taste. And those "howlizter" bits look a little too perfectly engineered for Skaven. They belong on a Dwarf Gyrocopter or an Empire Steamtank imo.
