  1. While interesting, they are not quite my bag. Is there a way to create/design more authentic looking ones? I'm sure youd sell more. Heck, this guy makes them out of cardboard: http://www.miniwargaming.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4353&start=15 If you ever do, just make sure you call them troop landers or something like the other alternate model companies.
  2. As is mentioned above, usually lists are confined to 2-3 sources. 3 being the most widely used now since that is the ITC format. Allowing more basically makes things unbound and a bit over the top. It's just another list construction thing now. Your opponent may want to play a 1500 pt game with 2 sources or a 2000pt game with 3 sources, etc.
  3. The best DE builds I've seen at a GT level have revolved around a Corpsetheif Claw formation from the Haemonculus Covens book. It's a unit of 5 Talos. This is a unit of T7 Str7 monstrous creatures with feel no pain, scout, instant death on 6s, shoot well, and -1 to enemy Ld within 12in. Oh, and everything you kill with it grants you an additional victory point. Which is awesome when playing missions. Here is an example list from Frankie over at Frontline Gaming: Llahmaen Venom Llahmaen Venom Troops Kabalite Warriors Venom Splinter Cannon Kabalite Warriors Venom Splinter Cannon Fast Attack Razorwing Jetfighter Two Dark Lances, Splinter Cannon Razorwing Jetfighter Two Dark Lances, Splinter Cannon Razorwing Jetfighter Two Dark Lances, Splinter Cannon Heavy Support Ravager Dark Lances x3 Ravager Dark Lances x3 Ravager Dark Lances x3 Corpse Claw Formation Talos Ichor Injectorx5 1850pts. A fun thing about this list is that there are no character models so any model can be your warlord. So you could pick a Talos or even one of the flyers. With the 3 source ITC format it's now possible to ally in regular eldar. So to improve the list I'd add in an allied Wraithknight and scatt bikes, and/or some wraithguard with the aforementioned WWP HQ. Lastly, 2500pts is a very large game. Usually apocalypse. Shoot for 1500 and 1850 lists. However, I haven't been at the store in awhile with the birth of my son, work, and I'm still building my orks. The local guys could be playing large games now for all I know.
  4. Cool cool. You'll want to bring a box. The cardboard one their in broke enroute.
  5. Well... Id say at this point there's a couple choices to be made. Good thing the club is more organized and stuff now. Either someone from the club picks them up until you guys figure out what you want to do. Or... They get thrown out. Which is a real shame since there is more than old WDs in there. Liber Chaotica, old codecies, etc.
  6. The above users expressed interest in them. And when I was in the store I mentioned to several club members the these are being donated to the club. As far as I was concerned they were "officially" donated to the club and in the club's hands now. I figured they'd sort something lol. If that is not the case let me know, I'm not sure why they were left in the store. I can come pick them up and recycle them I suppose. P.S. Sorry about the box rip, it kinda broke in transport.
  7. No problem at all Don. Ill stop by in the next day or two on my way home from the station. Thanks again.
  8. Sounds like it would be easiest for you to just leave them at the PD, since your there anyway. I don't mind coming by to pick them up. Assuming your at the PD on 505 Grand Ave not the SO?
  9. Thats totally fine. Sharing is caring after all :)
  10. Around what time will you be dropping off the bits? I'll be donating a box of old White Dwarf magazines to the store so I want to make sure I can grab the bits also.
  11. I know I've said I'm going to donate a bunch of old White Dwarf magazines before. But I mean it this time! I'll be bringing in a tote of them on Tuesday since I have to pick up bits. They are free to whomever. So those interested in old fluff articles, rules, painting, etc, go ahead and hit them up.
  12. No problem. Let me know if you drop them off earlier. Thanks again!
  13. Ill still take them yes. Names Gareth Hunt as a reminder, if you need to label them. Thanks again man. If you change your mind about wanting some bits or something in return let me know.
  14. Don, I am indeed interested. Let me know if you can find the arms, if not I'll still take them. Any of the above interest you trade wise?

  17. Well, results are in: https://www.frontlinegaming.org/2015/05/08/itc-2015-mid-season-update-poll-results-are-in/ JetBikes stay as-is by the slimmest of margins. I'm going to agree with Reece here and speculate it's because people just aren't getting it, as they haven't played it yet. It will probably go the way of invisibility (first poll kept it, second poll nerfed it by a huge margin).

  19. A well-worded explination on why Reece and the Frontline guys do what they do: https://www.frontlinegaming.org/2015/05/06/30069/
  20. In short, yes. Ranged D everywhere, a 100pt undercosted gargantuan WraithKnight, scatterlasers on every bike (270pts for an objective secured, 40 str6 shot, 48in moving platform). Sad part is, fix those and its a great (albiet very powerful) codex. Aspect warriors are all usable for example (holy crap are warpspiders good).
