  1. Some days it feels like all my troops are armed with these:
  2. Done! Bring it on tuesday and I'll have cash for you.
  3. That's a good point. I could probably cancel it before it even ships. Brad: How much for a sphere?
  4. Goddamit. The design I came up with for Gareth incorporates one of those spheres, and I already bought it off Amazon. You should have posted earlier, Brad. I blame you!
  5. I studied video production and editing years ago, and know the basics of all those areas. And I can use the latest video editing software. I'm not up on after effects though, it's all changed a lot since the early 90s when I was in art school. If you're looking to do YouTube quality video productions, I'm totally on top of that. I've even got a lot of the equipment, though my gear is kind of potato quality. I also know how to do most of your standard visual special effects, like wounds and gunshots, latex masks, that sort of thing. I even invented my own design for a $30 squib.
  6. No game tonight. I've got some kind of bug or something, and I'm just wiped out. There also won't be a game next week.
  7. I have almost everything released for Pathfinder as of two or three years ago, so all the main books, most of the Ultimate books, the first three bestiary, and tons and tons of the Gamemastery stuff, plus a lot of the better 3rd party stuff (like Psionics Unlimited). All this: I'm not planning on ever running Pathfinder again, and would happily sell my collection to IF you'll take the whole thing and we can come to reasonable price. But I don't want to sell the core books and be left with a bunch of supplements that aren't useful to me. I'll have to sit down and work out a total price, but I'll the hardcovers at 25% of cover and the softcovers at 10% of cover sounds reasonable to me.
  8. Sounds good. I just tried building 450 of Ariadna and it gets a bit silly.
  9. 450? 600? I think I could just barely do 600.
  10. I had planned to run Ghostbusters for anyone interested this week, but the order I put into Reaper three weeks ago still hasn't shipped so I still have no ghosts for the ghost player. So I guess that means I am totally free to play Infinity with you, Brad. 200 points? 300 points?
  11. This evening the players were Mite, Rutger, Sihyaa al-Ni and Ulfgar. Last week we left the party with a living avalanche barreling down on them, which the party was able to destroy after a pitched battle. The battle gave Throdekr Mordson plenty of time to escape, but Mite was able to sense the mind of Signi Sokkadottir in the distance. When they reach the evil seiðer they find him in the middle of a ring of ancient standing stones, with Signi bound to a wooden wheel. Throdekr uses his spells to create four Ice Duplicates to defend himself. The party quickly finds itself stymied by the Duplicates ability to create ice walls that slow their advance, and the nigh invulnerability of the frozen constructs, until Mite uses his psychokinesis to lift Ulfgar and place him directly next to Throdekr -- but Ulfgar's attack comes to late, as Throdekr has completed his ritual and Signi screams as her body begins to glow with a golden light. Ulfgar tries to free the screaming Signi from the wheel, but is knocked back as she bursts her bonds and begins levitating into the air. Tears of blood stream from her eyes and a pair of white wings extend from her back as her screams are replaced by a sudden solemnity as a powerful entity enters her. She announces that she is Thunia, a valkyrie, and that she has a message for Ulfgar. This is her message: "Know that all you have been taught of your people is a lie. The Frozen Lord is not the true god of the Iceborn. The Frozen Lord is a false god. Fate has chosen you, Ulfgar Hjalmarson, for a great destiny. You must prevent the Frozen Lord from returning to Rhûne. If the Frozen Lord is allowed to return your people will perish from this world. You must free Issamaðr, the true god of the Iceborn. Only Issamaðr can restore your people! Seek out the Forth Norn! The Forth Norn will show you the way!" Her message delivered, Thunia leaves Signi's body and she floats gently to the ground. Throdekr recovers from Ulfgar's blow, but missed Thunia's message, and pleads with Ulfgar to join forces now that its clear that SIgni survived the potentially dangerous ritual. Ulfgar's response is to cleave Throdekr in two, but the crafty sorcerer transforms into a flock of ravens and speeds off in a dozen different directions. With the wizard gone, Ulfgar is left to comfort Signi and wonder about Thunia's message. The Norns are well known to his people, but there are only three... Mite, Rutger, and Ulfgar receive 2 experience points.
  12. I don't have anything like that, but I'll give you a couple of sheets of bits from some pegasus kits and the like that you can use to decorate whatever you end up with.
  13. Rhûne Roll Call! Rutger Ahon! Mite! Ulfgar Hjalmarson! Sihyaa al-Ni!
  14. Last evening the players were Mite, Rutger, Sihyaa al-Ni and Ulfgar. The party sets out the following morning, and by midday it is clear that the Reaver's trail is leading them towards Hagagaror, confirming Ulfgar's dream. As the sun begins to set, the party breaks their pursuit to make camp. Little do they realize that they have been scryed from a distance, and that several of the Reavers turned back and have been racing all day to meet them. The Reavers are just as the legends portray them. Fearsome Iceborn warriors clad entirely in black furs and leathers, bearing cold-forged iron axes, with frozen flesh, white beards laden with icicles, and dead white eyes. The cold fury that animates them drains the heat from the air, and in hand to hand combat they are so cold it chills the bones of their opponents. As the party sets up their camp, the Reavers dismount and creep towards them. Only a cold wind announces their presence and they catch the party off guard, quickly taking Rutger, Sihyaa and Mite down. Ulfgar manages to hold the Reavers off long enough for Rutger to regain his feet, but ultimately the two warriors fall under the Reavers assault. Fortunately their efforts distract the Reavers long enough for Sihyaa to recover and unleash a fireball that washes over the whole party and reveals the fatal flaw of the Reavers: they melt with shocking ease. The next day the party decides to abandon their pursuit and make a side trip to Skeiosbrekkur, where they hoped to find a Simonite priest who could supply them with holy water and sanctified weapons. There they meet Keti Hangbrison, a novice preacher who maintains a small shrine. The young priest can't offer them much more than a place to stay for the night and his store of two bottles of holy water. The party arrives in Hagagaror later the next day and finds the town quiet and solemn, full of frightened farmers who give no sign of the typical joviality of the Jaegerlanders. The few people they see on the streets all seem in a hurry, their eyes fixed to the ground ahead of them. Mite sneeks a peak into the thoughts of a passing farmer and senses fear, fear of the Reavers. The party decides to visit the local jarl and head to Hagagaror's great hall, where they meet the Jarl Unof Farison and his headman Adar. Ulfgar questions the pair about the rash of disappearances, but the two men are evasive, with Adar insisting that nothing is happening in the town. When Ulfgar brings up the Reavers, Unof accuses him of being a storyteller, and tells him he and his foreign friends are no longer welcome in Hagagaror. What neither the Jarl nor his headmen knows is that Mite has wormed his way deep into Adar's mind and learned all the party needs to know -- neither the Jarl nor Adar is involved in the disappearances, but they do know who is behind them, and they are terrified of him. His name is Throdekr Mordson, and he is the seiðer of Hagagaror. The Jarl protects him not out of loyalty, but fear of his wrath and retribution. As the party leaves the Jarl's hall, Mite tells of his discovery, naming the villain -- and it is a name Ulfgar recognizes, for Throdekr is the seiðer who helped him awaken his own berzerker spirit years ago. Ulfgar remembers the ancient seiðer as a intense and zealous adherent of the old ways, and he remembers where the old man lived. Ulfgar leads the party out of town to a nearby hill. On top of a craggy bluff sits a small hut, with a steep trail weaving its way down. Throdekr emerges from his hut as the party ascends, cajoling Ulfgar to abandon his quest. The ancient seiðer reveals that he has taken Ulfgar's sister, Signi Sokkadottir, and the other girls because he is trying to create a valkyrie -- a valkyrie who can bridge the divide between this world and the hell Simon banished the Frozen Lord to, allowing the Frozen Lord to return to Rhûne and once again lead the Iceborn on a crusade of bloodshed and slaughter. Ulfgar considers the old man's offer, but ultimately decides he is not willing to risk his sister's life on Throdekr's madness and refuses. Displeased by Ulfgar's response, Throdekr vanishes -- but as he disappears he summons forth a powerful winter spirit, which takes the form of a living avalanche thundering down the hill towards the party. Mite, Rutger, Sihyaa al-Ni and Ulfgar receive 1 experience point.
