  1. hawkeye vodka 0.000000000000000001/10. it is the iowa version of 'why the hell do you drink this bottom shelf crap'. friend told me i would be drinking ketel one in a tumbler and pulled a joke on me. idk why that exists beyond cleaning alcohol. you might as well sell methanol to pair with it to put you out of your misery...
  2. come on guys, adam needs all the help he can get if he plays against me at LVO hehehehe. totally jk as im sucking balls at shasvastii so far so im pondering being a little brat and bringing my 'typical' aleph lists as I havent brought them out since i think the first tournament in sherwood..... also they are painted ha! speaking of which, i need to buy plane tickets.....
  3. I did not know number 2 but have used all the other ones! the first one is part of the reason i choose second for biotechvore.... go ahead and try getting all those models out with one command token lol. An interesting one is what EVO hackers do for command tokens. You can spend one to reroll a hacking roll, coordinate hacking or you can choose to use on CT if you go second to have a EVO supportware start active(not spending an order to do so is an interesting thought!).
  4. While it is a short movement skill I'd say stealth works. Here is requirement http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Civilian_Rules#Synchronize_Civilian
  5. this model is pretty baller to me. now for the proxy broz releases already geeeeesh :P
  6. Yea what RD said is right on. You can generally play pretty close to what you like in infinity but orders is the one serious limitation. look up some suggestions on how to make lists online. Generally speaking you want to have 8 plus orders in a primary group and if you do 2 groups I think 4 is kind of a minimum for an effective second group. As a beginner and playing the pieces it seems you like I'd shoot for a 10 order list. Try and have a few specialists(4 at least) too to get use to ITS mission style lists. As RD said you will need some order feeders for those boss pieces. Add some jaguars(personally my fave), aguaciles or moderators to feed orders. You can also use one prowler as a specialist operative with combi lft and adhesive. Love that profile! But yea you need to add some line troopers and once you play it will make sense why! Go to the infinity forums and read about some of the basics people post on there about list building which is pretty helpful! Play with it a bit on army and have fun. Welcome btw!
  7. i got the core for 200$. was thinking i could only get an expansion or 2 to supplement my friends buying the core(and me playing with them..) but couldnt resist the price tag on that. was thinking it was going to be in the 300$+ range minimum. almost went with the chest but thats just over my limit unfortunately. sooo pumped played the game for 12 straight hours early this month and am just straight up hooked.
  8. Yup exile is right about those. Question: were you carrying the supply boxes when you were in camo? Poor aleph player. I feel for him lol He should switch that chain myrmidon to another dakini paramedic. Those are amaaaazing for supplies
  9. actually change facing itself doesnt allow a movement to switch from prone/standing. can only pivot around unless there's some FAQ i missed about it. also spotlight is NOT an ARO option and only short skill. Thanks for the very good BR. Seems like it was a good time! Also excited to see your paint on that tray with your army. 3 tigers is hilarious and brutal.
  10. yea but 3 sets for 180$... which is a tables worth. thaaaaats cheap http://topdownterrain.com/collections/terrain/products/section-186-operations-theater-table-set
  11. bout time! what's it been like a year or so since you sent yours in?
  12. well, I'll take one positive tonight! Congrats RD for doing this and I know you'll throw a blast again. Sad I cant make it...
  13. The Big Short Obviously has been out for a year now, but holy cow. One of the best movies I've seen in a while. 10/10 ... The acting was good, but the story was just that good and influential.
  14. Al Fasid is quite possibly one of my favorite profiles in the game right now. both look fun to play. along with the ayarr it makes haqq even tougher, which was hard to imagine haha.
  15. awesome yea post more often would love to hear your game and paint thoughts! im also stretching to the EI with shasvastii. for as old as most of the models are, they really are not bad(at least not as bad as the old shock army regulars lol). the unidrons are beautiful along with the umbras(my favorite EI models) which makes onyx quite tempting... especially with the new TAGs as a cherry on top.
  16. There is no way to have a legitimate attack against something that's in impersonation(except discover shoot if it's possible). Just like the HVT it is considered friendly so spec fire, templates, etc cannot touch you or it's considered a null attack against everything affected in the template. now if you reveal yourself, game on. Generally people will let you take that back cause we all nice, but beware meeting that strict player in a tournament who plays by declaration(which is legal). But yea there's some fun tactics to exploit that rule(I've just been messing with it lately with asura and will be more with speculo). You can protect pieces from templates by putting an impersonation nearby.
  17. you guys should get on the second kickstarter on nov 5th. ive saved up to buy in......
  18. Ha thanks *blushes*. I think the naga gods cursed me though as that was the first time I only brought one to a tournament lol. Also I lost that game haha. Sean is a good guy and great player. All the guys are actually. Hopefully someday I can hook up the strawbed and bring a few out! Thanks RD for the kind words! I hope someday someone else starts bringing the wrath of nagas to Ordo!
  19. rundown of iowa incident: pretty good! had a lot of really good games. came in second behind a steel phalanx player that majored every single one of his games for 15 TP lol. I watched him play and he is one i really want to play against as we were sad we didnt get to play each other. We talked afterwards and hope to get a game sometime whenever i go up to Minneapolis for an event(where he is from)! Finished with 11 TP(same as ofcc i think lol). Lost one game, 3 majors and a minor win. A person from my same class in high school was there which was pretty hilarious as neither of us played mini games while in high school(he lives in St Louis now). Met some really REALLY cool people. Got to see Tommy Back and Angelina's amazing paint in person. Actually played against Tommy one game! My loss was against Sean of the infinity podcast in minny. he is a super cool dude. i found out with 4 orders left in my second round that i wouldnt get a third in highly classified so i promptly failed 4 straight spotlights with my asura like a champ hahaha. ended up with a giftcard to infinity harbour and i took the gencon van zant... the prize table was huge. everyone got amazing stuff. Will and Jeremy are very good warcors!
  20. Tigers are amazing. I'll pipe about sophie as I play aleph: she's imo more a desire in ISS than vanilla aleph. I actually rarely run Sophie in aleph because points and I rarely need a doc with a bunch of nwi and dogged so I just take a 10 point engineer who is better than her at shooting/defense and is disposable :p honestly I'm shocked people rarely talk about dakini paramedics who are 6-4 specialists with mimetism and can be give supportware to kill things. Also just filthy in midfield suppressive fire(and with 6-4 not many orders lol). I'm honestly surprised I haven't ever seen an ISS player have dakini... probably cause they have too much amazing things they get thrown towards the back haha
  21. Derp lol didn't realize that haha. Yea new stuff is always hard to grasp! That's a ton of orders
  22. RD you are a darn good player! from what i learned you dont necessarily need to bring a sniper to have an effective aro team. take nate kapke's nomads for example. i think he maybe takes one sniper(the TO sniper) for nomads ever? he just stacks with mutliple aros and thats what is scary(and youve graduated towards this style too!) generally one sniper is enough and whenever you do have one you have to think of the angle of engagements across the field. for example look at your deployment zone and look for any points on the field in your back 4 inches where your sniper could have 1/4th the field of view and that is golden! anything greater than that to me is absolute cheese! you dont necessarily have to have them in cover too as over 32 means most troops are at the very least -3 if not -9 for TO! today i lost my mk2 sniper to an aquila hmg. but honest even wtih msv3 i was in pretty good odds to wreck his face! snipers need to expose that 32+ range. even against MSV troopers with your cheap hacker plus you can turn that to you advantage wiht a -9 stack! thats what me and nate talk about generally is we like the tool sets of both vanilla nomads and alepth vs their sectorials. you have advatages in tools over corgidoor and bakunin so dont forget thats why vanilla is so fearsome! if you dont utilize the toolsets imo you might as well play with corgidoor! and theres nothing less of that to me as sectorials are super tough due to link team advantages!
  23. it looks pretty dynamic with models on it. albeit they are my horribly painted aleph models... but still lol. finished painting the dasyu hacker too. love that model.
