Looks interesting and not OP at all.

I am frustrated that I built my army to use meltas and then GW made meltas OP.

Meltas as strong but not invincible. Salamanders is one of the tougher marine armies. Not invincible but definitely hard to take down. It should be fine.

  2. Tabletop Titans goes over this a lot when they explain how they make their lists.

What they do is they balance it against who they are playing. Not always doable when you bring what you plan to play with.

The second list isn't oppressive. Strong for certain but not oppressive.

Marines are in a state of being one of the most consistent and stronger armies out there. One thing to consider is that a casually fun marines list makes non marine players have to bring a much meaner list to be able to hang around. This can be compensated by the non marine player out playing the marine player but its an uphill battle.

Still this would be interesting to face and I think you would have issues with mass armor. Sure 4 Russ's can deal with armor but it will take a bit of time.

Where does it say they can't take those units?

Space marine Core book page 124.

Kill Teams make the units inside them troops. So for instance the Kil Team with Heavy Intercessors, Eradicators, Outriders, and Aggressors would be a troop unit and it could still be combat squaded. So id you wanted 5 Heavy Intercessors and 5 Outrider bikes you can, then you can combat squad them, and they both would be troops and obsec.

  4. I think Orks are getting the new boy and our codex supposedly has been completed for some time now so I suspect we will be early 2021. I just hope they get rid of the Gretchin rule and allow Kustom Jobs to be more fluid because they are hyper restrictive as they are now

    Gotcha, you are correct;)

Thought you were referring to OFCC, apologies.

Even in OFCC I think Knights would be fine now. People who are playing marines are likely to bring eradicators or Dreads that will nullify, Sisters of battle has Repentia, there are TONS of options and if you just play the mission knights lose. Knight players will get the chance to remove many things from the table but they are poor on the mission
