Other options are Portland Game Store in North Portland, medium store, decent terrain, open and well lit with alcohol on tap or canned alcohol drinks Guardian Games biggest store, limited alcohol drinking area, likely to be crowded. In Portland on the east side. Red Castle on 65th and Holgate (Ish) ok terrain selection, less than the others I believe, same rough size as Portland Game Store Geeks and Games in Oregon City will be open for sure (though the other stores will be losing money if they are closed so they are nearly guaranteed to be open) they have a good tables and good terrain selection as they are more of a hobby store compared to the others. Those are the stores I frequent or have been to

When would you like to meet up for a game? I have Tuesday free. Don't worry about making things optimized. Play things you want which I will do. Careful though, orks are good these days. Not the standard flavor of the month like old GW did but more meta balancing

Due to the beta codex only having models that are out, I 100% expect new models and characters. The beta codex feels to me only partially completed like a host of options are missing, so if what the beta codex has model wise is it, it will be one of gw's biggest mistakes I think

True and I was not t asking high PL things. I was taking multiple detachments though so less ability to sink PL into bigger things like Marines did to a redemptor

EXACTLY! For me, orks are yes about winning but removing my desire to always win and get validation from winning. It has led me to many many many stupid and horrible behavioral issues and while I am socially challenged, it needs to stop. So orks are more for me to enjoy the character. Enjoy the challenge (when it is a challenge and not a one sided slaughterfest) and either win, lose, or draw but learn to do it while having fun. So I make a slightly less optimal choice, I choose units that are ot great (looking at you nob Warbikers with power klaws you damned point sink you!) and I try to, well play like an Ork, laughing even when I am losing because orks are never beaten
