I think it would be pretty easy to do. You may want to look at https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14063 for an idea of how to do it. I have one of these and it looks like it might fit under a 40mm base, but I can check.

I'm excited for the Elysian Brood Brothers to run with the cult.

I use the enhanced ebooks for iPads and they get the updates from Chapter Approved automatically. So I don’t have to worry about pasting updates into my paper book. But then again I have the paper books for the armies that I play as well so if I’m playing and my tablet dies I have a backup.

I have a group of Elysians that I plan to use as Brood Brothers for a Genestealer Cult army. -
Looking at the people that have made that it looks doable with the scale. Someone commented that they had to scale the model to 85% to be the same size as the original model.

I have the Monoprice Mini and am running PLA. What software do most people use to create their models? So far I have just grabbed from thingiverse and want to start designing my own bases.

I plan to do something like that toy. Where one side of the board is a mountain with an opening. I’m not sure yet if it’s going to be doors or a waterfall that is split to show an airstrip that is implied going further into the mountain. Outside the mountain is going to be a couple of sentry guns and a sky shield landing pad.

That looks pretty good for the full 6x4 table, but they don't have a 2x2 that I want to use for a display board.

That sounds awesome with the 12' x 12' space. But I think it might work better if it was U shaped, so even slow things could cross the lines.

That’s a damn cool idea. Have an edge of the board with a mountain / waterfall that is open and you can see an airstrip lit up in there. Outside of the mountain is a single landing pad with a tower, surrounded by jungle. The cultists are in the jungle and the base.

I'm trying to plan out my display board for next year's OFCC. My idea is to have an army of Genestealer Cultists and Brood Brothers from the Elysians. I want to build an airstrip and am at a loss for ideas of where to get started on the terrain parts. Does anyone have suggestions for terrain pieces that would fit this theme?

During my second game, we overheard Blood Bowl calling “Dice Down”. We stopped playing 40k, and after cleaning up the table realized we had another hour for the game. Finished it by having a beer with my opponent in the bar.
