Guest
Follow up: Since re-rolls apply before modifiers, if I re-roll all failed hits, do I reroll the natural 2's if I hit normally on 2+ but have a -1 to hit modifier? It only misses after modifiers....

The modifiers kick in after re-rolls. Stealing from the example above. Alpha legion's trait of -1 to hit over 12"+ works the same way. Needing a 3+ to hit and you roll a 1,3,5 and 6. If I had the ability to re-roll misses I would only re-roll the 1 as the 3 hits. Then after re-rolling the 1 say you get a 4, the -1 modifier the alpha legion trait changes those dice to 2, 3, 4, and 5. So three hits because your natural 3 became a 2 and a miss.
