Much like the tellyporta version, do you only count the transport? That mixed with Da Jump of some boys, and some other fast movers, Orks can close the gap quickly... The 9" gap is a limiting factor to be sure, but it can really help negate some of the issues Orks have always had when mostly on foot. Tellyporta, Outflank, a Weirdboy (or 2), & UGT, seems like you can drop a lot of threats within 9", really quick! I have to admit, it's making me grin with evil intent!
