They are definitely not PP.
That is a large assumption Pax. Many gamers have a stockpile of models from older ranges that they sometimes use as proxies.
It's the exact same paint style they have used for a long time. It is simple to replicate and photographs well. The models seem to fulfill the direction their sculpts have been moving towards since ditching metal. I am surprised no one has brought up price speculation. Since they are moving to a lower model count are they going to up the cost per mini?
It's OK Bro G. Not everyone cares enough to keep arguing. When I decided that whatever GW produced was an overpriced steaming turd I just stopped reading. Even now I just read this stuff in mod mode and not because I care. There are so many other options for gamers out there that I do not need to waste the energy.
If anyone needs to hire out help getting some work done by OFCC or wants a great centerpiece model my studio schedule has openings in July. Just send me a PM.
Well the rumors of my return have will have to be just that. My wife has a work thing and my starter box and I will not be there. So hopefully the Infinity gets played and I can bring my stuff down another night.
So the best solution to the cork texture that I have found is woodland scenics flex paste. If you paint a coat of that on to the cork it covers up the very visible and readable textures. Combining this with slicing more into the layers instead of just leaving them flat you can make some amazing things. Also the flex paste strengthens the cork so that pinning and chipping are not problems.
I take it back. I did have a similar experience years ago. But that was in there old location and the guy that was running things back then was a real tool. It didn't stop me from going back (I wouldn't still go to Guardian either if that was the case.)
Pokemon? yes. Teletubbies? No. I only say this because my littlest one has recently discovered teletubbies and I have watched a lot recently.
As for the models, they are no weirder to me than fast pandas or crazy koalas.
