  1. that guy has a 15% chance of getting that spell then needs generate 5 dice (plus his 1) to have a 50% chance of getting that off. sorry not too scary to me. Now if you go physiker heavy that improves, but then you are spending mega points.
  2. The gloom prism is only 3" from model with it, so it is not that great....but honestly Physic powers are not that strong...so no issues with not having a defense.

  10. I won a phantom. took first at NW hobby and games in Vancouver (WA). defender is amazing, but so is the phantom and it fits my play style more.

  12. those that have not played maelstrom yet, play a few games. i think you will find it is not as "un-balanced" as you may think.

Also try taking the tactical warlord trait. there is one or two in there that let you discard your starting hand, or mitigate your starting hand. hell there is a mission where you play off your opponents cards. you cant say that draw will lose you a game any more than getting first turn did before. Come on man. Hell it was worse before where 1 point was important. I played a game this weekend where the score was 18 to 12. starting hands didnt mean anything.
  14. yes, sometimes the journey is more important the finish. I play games to play the game, not to win the game. P.S. Also the highest points you can get in from the cards in turn 1 is 6 IIRC.

  18. stupid question, where does it say that? in teh back of the 6e book, it was listed as FOST, not chariot, I intuitively know it is a chariot, but cannot find a reference....unless it was a FAQ.
  19. So would a catacomb command barge be a chariot, or just a fast open topped skimmer transport?
  20. chariot changes are really cool. owner chooses which wounds it or the rider takes. so you put the bolters against the chariot (cant hurt it) and the high ST against the rider. if either is killed, both are removed.
