  1. It seems pretty unrealistic to think that 49% of the ITC voters that dont have something go their way get pissed. Plenty of the votes haven't gone the way I voted. I shrug, and adapt and overcome. I think that's the majority of people. To think that even 1/5 of players actually get genuinely upset over the votes to the point of boycotting or making a fuss seems pretty inaccurate considering the number of voters.
  2. But the ITC makes it VERY clear that the only event that actually uses their rules are the BAO and LVO. EVERY other event that uses the ITC is making that choice as a TO. It's still a TO choice. You can be an ITC event and not use a single ITC ruling, FAQ, mission, etc. So you don't like them? Fine. Don't use them. People like them, people use them. If you don't like the process, then offer a different process. It's a free market. Make your own system.
  3. Awesome to see we're getting more people to this one! We're excited to have everyone there. We encourage everyone of all levels of play to come to TSHFT, we've got great games, great players, and amazing prizes. Tough to beat all that.
  4. I think you need some more bold contrasting colors. Especially on the guns. These look awesome dude!
  5. That's what I play, I've got a couple Thanatars and 6 Castellaxs, I use my skitarri for tech thralls.
  6. Not totally sure, I would try to keep 5 rounds. Maybe 1250 pts each player.
  7. Most people do too I think, but I'd like to see it formalized.
  8. Yeah I mean by rating them on their skills. A level 3 player with a 3 list is very different from a level 1 player with a 3 list. I think that should be noted in pairings and list approvals.
  9. Thanks, go to the poll please guys!
  10. Hey guys, I threw up a poll in another thread, if you'd answer the questions I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
  11. Hey guys, I know this is similar to the other thread, I'd appreciate you answering these poll questions to I can see some tangible feedback.
  12. The idea is that in my system you would play with a new teammate every round until the final 5th round.
  13. I'm glad you brought that up splix, it's so obvious I can't believe I didn't even think about it.
  14. Well I've got 2 no's, but otherwise seems receptive. This is by far from a done deal, just an idea. I appreciate the feedback on the captain's pairing aspect as well.
  15. I'm super pumped for this. I want more people playing 30k.
  16. Howdy folks, Capt A and I are thinking about applying to dual HOG the next OFCC. We've been talking about ideas to help reinvigorate the fun and unique aspect of OFCC and I had an idea that I thought I might first ask the lot of you before proposing it to the senate. How would you feel about instead of players playing individually, they play 2 vs 2. Hear me out, we reduce individual point limits to around 1,250pts or so, and limit each player to 2 detachments. When you and your teammate are playing on the field you interact with your teammates' models as if they were Allies of Convenience. This prevents you and your opponents from pulling off insane combos, or being next to useless. In addition, we may attempt to institute a limit of codexes per team. This is just a rough idea, but I really like the idea of players actually playing together for a team event. In addition to this, I was thinking of having players receive a specific number; 1-4. In each round, players are paired with a specific number. This removes a HUGE level of chipmunking or sandbagging that, let's face it, is becoming all too often at OFCC. By having the pairings already set, it solves one of the most frustrating aspects of OFCC. We'd let players on a team choose which number they are, and show which teammates are playing which missions, and most likely we'd let Captains create final pairings for round 5. One other excellent advantage to this format is that it helps out those gamer's who are far more casual if they are playing with a teammate who is far more up to date on their rules. This prevents rules from falling under the cracks, and let's face it that happens enough as is, and prevents an inexperienced or out of practice player from being walked on rules wise and feeling trapped. So what do you guys think? Would some changes to OFCC kill it for you? Are these ideas too much or too little? What do you guys think?
