  1. I'll be there with my SAGA stuff, but I'm open to board gaming as well.
  2. Very cool. I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Blazing Saddles rules. We won't be using the mounted rules in the core rules.
  3. @GalaxyChief: What warband do you want to play? I’ve updated the players and warbands on page 2 of this thread.
  4. As with any campaign I expect for there to be some attrition before this campaign even starts and then another wave after the first campaign night. Nonetheless, even with the early losses, there may be quite a few people playing Mordheim all at once. I added to DT's terrain collection by donating a box of hills and rocks to DT this weekend, but we'll likely need more. I plan to bring a table or two of terrain with me on Tuesday night's, but it would be helpful for others could do so as well. Mordheim is one of those games that plays best with a lot of terrain on the board.
  5. Uh, oh. It looks like SigurdBS's dwarfs are now outnumbered two-to-one.
  6. Absolutely, the more the merrier. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
  7. There's more than enough room in tent for an Imperial Knight. Unfortunately, I don't have a finished knight to test out in the photo tent, only this fella that I converted into a House Taranis Knight and magnetized, but never painted. And now that 40K is forever dead to me, it'll forever remain a pretty unpainted model on my shelf. 🙂
  8. For years and years I've been taking lousy-to-mediocre photos of my miniatures, so I finally broke down and bought myself a photo tent and some proper lamps. Here's what I purchased. It's nothing fancy, but as you can see from my first photo using the new gear, it's made a significant improvement in the quality of my photos. Over the next few months I think I'll be reshooting a lot of my minis.
  9. Here's the list of players who've expressed interest in the campaign. Koyote -Kislevites VonVilkee -Night Goblins Wiccus -Ostlander Mercenaries JMGraham -Witch Hunters Sherbert -Witch Hunters (Since Jim is using Witch Hunters I recommend he try Averlanders) Scipiano -Human Mercenaries or Chaos Marauders DuskSeer - Middenheim Mercenaries Sigurd BC - Dwarf Treasure Hunters The Rat Catchers - Pirates Smashthedean - Beastmen Raiders Munkie - Pit Fighters Nathonicus - ? The Moat -Black Orcs GalaxyChief - Bretonnians We need more warbands tainted by Chaos so my Cossacks have someone to hate. 🙂
  10. Yes, but Ded Shooty is limited to your heroes, so in theory, most of your bows will be limited to a 16" range. Regardless, archery is how Night Goblins compensate for their low WS, LD, and Animosity, so I think lots of goblin bows will be just fine -especially once your goblins start shooting one another. 🙂 Just curious, does your starting list include a Troll?
  11. I don't think so. The range is short and if players are using cover, in most instances you'll need 6s to hit. Plus, its unreasonable to expect a WS 2 goblins to be melee oriented. Also, based upon my experiences from the last campaign, players need to make better use of the hide rule. I notice that the Night Goblin's animosity rule differs from the standard animosity rules that apply to Orc & Goblin warbands (TC 6) and Forest Goblin warband (NC). I'd like for you to use the standard animosity rules found in TC 6. Speaking of Forest Goblins, I've always loved the look of them but never had a reason to collect and paint them. My next Mordheim warband may end up being forest goblins. It's a shame Shieldwolf Minaitures' forest goblin Kickstarter failed. Lovely models.
  12. Infinity ends Oct 2, so I propose we kick off the Mordheim campaign on Oct 9 (no rest for the wicked) and thereafter, Mordheim night will be the second Tuesday of each month. I've loosened up the the list of allowable warbands. The additions are in red text Arabian Tomb Raiders (TC 20) Averland Mercenaries (TC 10) Battle Monks of Cathay (BTB) Beastmen Raiders (TC 29) Black Orcs (Nemesis Crown) Bretonnian (TC 08) <-- warband caps at 15 not 12 Carnival of Chaos (TC 27) Clan Pestilens (TC 29) Cult of the Possessed Dark Elves (TC 12) Dwarf Rangers (Nemisis Crown) Dwarf Treasure Hunters (TC 04) Forest Goblins (Nemesis Crown) Gunnery School of Nuln (Nemesis Crown) Hochland Bandits (Nemesis Crown) Horned Hunters (Nemesis Crown) Kislevite (TC 16) Lizardmen (TC 11) Marauders of Chaos (BTB) Marienburg Mercenaries Middenheim Mercenaries Miragleans Tilieans (TC 14) Night Goblins (new) (see Broheim) Orc Mob (TC 06) Ostlander Mercenaries (TC 11) Outlaws of the Stirwood Forest (TC 29) Norse Explorers (TC 13) Pirates (TC 09) Pit Fighters (TC 21) Reikland Mercenaries Remasens Tileans (TC 14) Restless Dead (BTB) Shadow Warriors (TC 10) <-- warband caps at 10 not 12 Sisters of Sigmar Skaven Skaven Clan Pestilens (TC 29) Trantios Tileans (TC 14) Undead Witch Hunters <-- warband caps at 15 not 12
  13. With the Dark Tower Mordheim campaign tentatively set to begin mid October, it's time for me to get started on my warband. My plan is to resurrect the Kislev warband that I played (but never painted) back in 2009. I've updated some of the models and added some new characters, but names and backgrounds (which I will post later), remain essentially the same. Druzhina (80) dueling pistols (13*) sword (10) = 103 points Esaul (35) great weapon (15) = 50 points Bear Tamer (35) sword (10), hammer (3)= 48 points Youth #1 (15) hammer (4) = 18 points Youth #2 (15) mace (3) = 18 points Cossack #1 (30) sword (10) shield (5) = 45 points Cossack #2 (30) sword (10) shield (5) = 45 points Cossack #3 (30) halberd (10) = 40 points Streltsi #1 (25) great weapon (15) bow (10) = 50 points Streltsi #2 (25) great weapon (15) bow (10) = 50 points Kislev Ranger (30) * 1/2 price ancestral item Youth, Youth, Druzhina, Esaul, Bear Tamer The two Youth models are City Militia models from Fireforge Games' Medieval Russian model line with GW arms, bits, and weapons. The female's head was made by Statuesque Miniatures. The Druzhina is an Altreich Engineer made by Black Chapel miniatures. The Esaul is a V&V viking miniature. I replaced its head with a head from GW's Empire Archer kit. The axe blade comes from Frostgrave's Barbarian kit. The Bear Tamer's head, body, and right arm is a metal, GW Kislev horse archer. The rest of the bits are GW. Cossack, Cossack, Cossack, Streltsi, Streltsi The 3 Cossacks are all from GW's Mordheim Kislev model line. The two Streltsi are from GW’s Kislev Kossars box set. Kislev Ranger The Kislev Ranger is another GW Mordheim model. As you can see, I strung her bow, replaced her humongous sword with a slightly less humongous axe, and did some extensive GS work to cover up her ridiculous cleavage.
  14. SAGA 2.0 FAQ Javelins have been toned down.
  15. @JMGraham and @nathonicus what do you think about the 2-games-per-month format described above? If it interferes with the Infinity league, we could push it back further.
  16. What does everyone think of the new proposed schedule?
  17. Feel free to play the Night Goblin Warband found on the Broheim website. I see no reason to place any restrictions on the list, so feel free to use it as-is, fanatics, troll, and all. Sigurd is planning to play dwarves, so the addition of Night Goblins to the campaign will give each of you a fitting nemesis.
  18. The problem with a short campaign plus open league is that in my experience, the open league component doesn't happen. Once the organized component ends, so does all play. The most appealing part of campaigns involving warbands that can grow and develop, like TNT & Mordheim, is experiencing the warband's evolution. IMHO, 6 games is not enough time to see much growth. A while back Jim Graham proposed holding a monthly campaign night and then stretching that campaign out over the course of several months. This provides players with their monthly Mordheim fix and the freedom to participate in other activities. For those who use campaigns as motivation to paint a warband, this would give them more time to do so. It also gives players more time to get in any catch-up games. We could play 2 games a month during the months of October, November, December, and January. The first Tuesday of each of those months would be the official campaign night. On that day, I will announce the two scenarios for that month. In theory, players will each get through at least one scenario that night and then since many of the campaign participants will be there, players will then have the opportunity to find another opponent and schedule their second game. @VonVilkee, I suspect that your posts were half-hearted trolling (pardon the pun), but if you really want to play Night Goblins, that'd be fine.
  19. I’m open to postponing the Mordheim campaign.
  20. I've been disappointed time and again by Fireforge's "fine resin" products, so I was pleasantly surprised when opened my Richard the Lionheart blister today. The detail is fantastic. None of the pieces are malformed. Not one air bubble. Almost no mold lines or flash. Overall, a superb product. I suspect that they've changed their "fine resin" material. The new material feels denser and slightly heavier. It's much less brittle. The surfaces seem smoother. The material looks and feels like a soft-to-medium plastic. It's a big improvement.
