  1. Take what you're using in your two lists, some repair tools, and leave the big kit at home - a tournament tray will help you move [big bad swear word] around, and you won't necessarily have do dig in your bag for a model.

So this came up on WGC Infinity.

We've been doing the 'being shot from behind' thing wrong because of a translation error. You can go ahead and dodge because you'll still get a guts roll (assuming you failed against the shooting but passed the ARM/BTS roll). If you pass your guts roll, according to the Spanish rules, you do get an opportunity to change facing which the English rules do not mention. You don't have to rely on Warning.

    English:

    • If the Guts Roll is successful, the troop can stand its ground and must do nothing else.

    • Google Translate: If the Guts Roll is surpassed, the troop is not forced to do anything and can stay where it is, or it can maintain that position but turning on itself to face an enemy troop, so that it falls within its LDT .

However, if you fail your guts and you can't improve your cover or get out of the danger zone, then you have to drop prone and you can't turn.

I saw this thread, and I'm withholding judgment until we get confirmation that this is in fact a translation error, only the verbiage above has been posted, not a Koni confirmation.

  3. 1) Really, Really hard.

    2) Maybe, but I still think you're OK with 1 Daleth 1 Proxy5

    3) It would have certainly altered my priorities.

    4) The base hacker is ehhhhhhh, the Danavas does her job better.  I was expecting the AHD + Lightning, which discourages many heavy/direct hacking threats to your linkteam

    5) You do you

    6) It was indeed a great game.  My dice, in that first top half; OOf.  I still worry about the viability of Bolts on a table like what I know I'm going to see, but, I'm able to pick list after table, sooooo.  Still gotta figure out a 2nd list.

  5. Hey there!  Welcome to the thread for the 2019 OFCC Friday TAG Arena Deathmatch!

I've got a question for you.  Do you like Big, Stompy Robots? Do you have a fond memory of 90's First Person Shooters, with teleporters, spawn beacons and weapon pickups?  If so, this may be the event made JUST for you!

TAG Deathmatch was originally brought to you by Beasts of War through their original Infinity Boot Camp event back in 2015.  We will be tweaking these rules in the lead up to the event, but the following will be certain: Each player will bring one fully painted S7 TAG (or a TAG mounted on an S7 Base for you Stingray and Gecko fans out there); players will be organized on tables of up to 8 participants, and there will be mayhem.

To accommodate for travel and other needs, Friday's Tag Deathmatch will run from 3:00PM until 5:00PM.

Blastic Studios, run by Ordo's very own @Jay has graciously agreed to paint up a S7 TAG to be revealed later as a prize for the event, and our Ordo Infinity Grand Championship sponsor, Fate and Fury Games form the core of our prize support for the event, which will include awards for Deathmatch Champion, Best Painted, and Best Sportsman.  Players who participate in the event will also receive early access to their personal Achievement list for the Ordo Infinity Grand Championship.

Following the event, head out to enjoy the Vancouver restaurant and brewery scene, stick around for Open gaming in the hall, or check out the Speed Painting Tournament being put on by Mindtaker Miniatures at 6PM.

    TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED HERE!

Please follow up here if you have any questions, or PM me via our in-board system.

    Thanks!

  6. ORDO FANATICUS

    in partnership with

    FATE AND FURY GAMES

    Proudly Announce the

    2019 ORDO INFINITY GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP

    To be held at the

    ORDO FANATICUS CLUB CHALLENGE

AUGUST 16-18, HILTON HOTEL VANCOUVER WASHINGTON

Greetings! I'm Exile aka Pete, and I will be your Head of Gaming (HoG) for this year's Infinity Events at the Ordo Fanaticus Club Challenge! (OFCC). We have an amazing lineup of events for the weekend, so let's get to it!

    THE INFINITY GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP

This year's Infinity events at OFCC will feature the following:

A Friday afternoon TAG Arena Deathmatch, based on the Beast of War rules.

A Saturday Three Round 300pt ITS – Highly Classified, Unmasking, Firefight

A Sunday One Round 400pt ITS Showdown – The Armory

Here at Ordo, we advocate for a well-rounded, multifaceted, holistic approach to the miniatures wargaming hobby. Stretch your boundaries. With that in mind I need to make the following disclaimer:

OFCC IS A FULLY PAINTED EVENT

What that means: We're not looking for Angel, Tommy B, or Angelina level work here. Three colors (primer doesn't count) and some simple basing is all that is necessary. Painted stuff just looks better on the table, and when you get to the event, you'll understand. Push yourself. Been a silver surfer player all your Infinity career? Paint your first army. Experienced brush wielder? Try that new technique that's been tempting you.

ENOUGH TALKING PETE, WHERE DO I BUY MY TICKET?”

Our ticket store can be found -HERE-

There are Two tickets for this weekend event: One for Friday, and one for Saturday and Sunday. Playing in the Friday TAG Arena is not required to play for the championship, but some of your scoring will carry over. This is to allow for those with travel difficulties on a Friday to still enjoy the full event.

SWEET, I GOT MY TICKET, WHAT CAN I WIN?”

I'm glad you asked! The OFCC awards not only best generalship, but there will be prizing for best painting, and most importantly, Best Sports. I highly encourage you to take a moment and read the History of OFCC Thread to get a sense of where we, as a club, are coming from. We will be giving awards for each event individually, but there is also an over-arching list of Achievements that can be scored in all three events, and player scores in the 4 categories (Battle, Paint, Sports, Achieves) will be totaled, to at the end of Sunday crown one GRAND CHAMPION.

Personally, I have been involved in this organization in one way or another for almost 15 years now. OFCC's have provided me the opportunity to not only reconnect with old friends from years and game systems gone by, but also to meet new people, build relationships and live my hobby to the fullest in this weekend, every year.

Thanks to our generous sponsor, Joe at Fate and Fury Games, we will be able to provide top-level prize support, starting with not one, but TWO ITS packs for our starting pool. We are reaching out to other vendors to provide support and swag for those attending. Other early highlights include a S7 TAG painted by Blastic Studios as part of the pool for our Friday TAG Arena deathmatch.

    WHERE IS OFCC, ANYWAYS?”

OFCC 2019 will be held at the Hilton Hotel in beautiful, historic, downtown Vancouver, WA. Just across the mighty Columbia River is Portland, Oregon (PDX airport code). Summers in the Pacific Northwest are delightful, come check it out.

Thanks for reading, if you have any questions, please either direct them to the individual event threads I linked above, or if they are more general, feel free to ask below, or discreetly in our PM system.

For the good of the Order.

good on Angel and crew for creating something so awesome and in demand someone will pay thousands of dollars for it!

There is no doubt in my mind that the check written to conduct this transaction had more than 5 zero's.  Try 7.

  8. Oh man, I'd love for some DZC on a Sunday.  I have a decent sized PHR army that I'd love to give a spin.  I only got in a couple games of v1, and would love to watch and follow along a game or three to get back into the hang of things.  If your Tuesdays fall through, hit me up for a Sunday!
