    Pax's Infinity

In Ordo based play, zero objection whatsoever. You may have an issue at an ITS event, but only if the TO isn't interested in the Rule of Cool.
  2. You are not required to spend it all, but you will find yourself severely lacking in range past 16" if you choose not to spend any. Without a Hacker or TAG you cannot take a remote at all. Certain abilities of Hackers can buff remotes, disable remotes, tags or other hackers, and a host of other things. The TAG being a liability depends on a number of things. Opponent force selection, table layout and terrain, mission objective, and others. Hackers can innately hack things within their 8" bubble Area, but there are various ways to extend that through different kinds of Repeaters.
  3. Well..... it is. Infinity has a much looser army construction system than 40k. 1) You need a (one and only one) Lieutenant. 2) You get 1 SWC per 50 total points of Army (6/300). 3) If you wish to enroll a Remote, you must either first bring a TAG or a Hacker. 4) Follow AVA limits. Go. Your Super Speesh Marines list is legal, but extremely limited. Grab some Terminators, and some dudes on 25mm's, and proxy it. Most Infinity games involve some form of Objective play, and in order to interact with that objective, you need to be a 'specialist'. A Doctor, Engineer, Forward Observer, Hacker, Paramedic, Chain of Command, or Specialist Operative skill (i -might- be forgetting one).

  5. Are we going to be playing 400 point games at some point, or are we looking at smaller games, with an "Army Roster" feel? FYI, this sounds friggin awesome!
  6. Exile

    13th!

I'm planning to be there. I am looking for an opponent for one of the following missions: Highly Classified, Power Pack, Transmission Matrix, Unmasking or, Frostbyte. I will be using the Red (extreme) Classified Deck (and red options in game) but will not ask the same from you if you are not comfortable doing so.
  7. It's a rule from the ITS season 10 pack. https://assets.infinitythegame.net/downloads/itsrules/season10/en/v1.0/season10.pdf Page 9, under 'BRAVERY'. ITS rules are of course up to you and your opponent; certain things (tags getting Fatality L1, Single combat groups being immune to Strategic use of Command tokens) originated in an ITS season, and were kept over. So it's a good thing to be aware of, that may or may not stick around.
  8. I'll be there. Jay, bring Commander?
  9. I'll check my bits baggie.
  10. It'll be new to someone else!
  11. Blister gift exchange sounds awesome. I have a dinner thing this Sunday and will be absent >.<. Next week for sure!
  12. The player who has more points left alive (in ITS known as 'Victory Points') at the end of the game scores 3 Objective Points.
  13. I'll be there to help, what to bring snack wise this year....
  14. Hence my suggestion re: secondary market. Are the conversion kits perfect? No. Are they the best option FFG had to reset a bloated, power creeped, combo-laden system? I like to think so. Not too unlike a $60 rulebook and a $40 codex, IMO.
  15. How often, and for how many armies, do you update 40k? Just asking. If all you have is Wave 1/2, it may be worth your while to look into splitting out the contents, or just trying to pickup stuff on a secondary market.
  16. Each conversion kit contains enough cardboard (ship tiles, dials, pilot cards, upgrade cards, tokens) to convert between 2 and 4 copies of each ship released in 1.0. Your swarm options like the TiE/ln or Z-95 Headhunter have 4. X-wings, B-wings, Tie Adv, Firespray, YT-1300 are 2x per box. Usually there's an oddball with 3 - the A-Wing and the TiE Interceptor. There's been some slight changes to the movement templates and mechanics for barrel roll, target lock, and a few tweaks in the different phases of a turn. You may be able to get away with not picking up a Core Set for causal play, but eventually you'll probably want to. I can give you a hands-on demo, if you can make it up to Mythic in Vancouver on Wednesday nights for our regular Star Wars night, 6-10PM.
  17. /Sigh.... Retail schedule.
  18. Ah. Muyib LGL with smoke if you have the SWC.
  19. Hrm.... Maybe not. Let me ponder this for a bit.
  20. Don't. Deploy the xenotech synced with either your Spitfire or Dr. Death. Reform the Haris after the xenotech has done his job.
  21. This is the correct interpretation of this rule. Think of it like Antipersonnel mines - they are not "present" on the table until the end of the order in which you deployed them.
  22. RD. I'm thinking that I -may- be able to make it for a game later, hopefully by 430. 300pts, acquisition or unmasking? I need at least 1 practice game before ECI, figured you might want one too.
  23. From the top: 1A). The smoke template is not extant and LOF blocking until the end of the order in which it is placed and rolled for. 1B) No. The only penalty I can think of like this is the out of LOF template penalty, where you are at -3 to dodge if you cannot see the firer of a template (IE Chain Rifle or Flamethrower from behind). 2A). Walk into B2B. 2B) You can; however, the Auxbot, being in the Engaged State and unable to enter SF, will Idle for that order, drawing free melee ARO's. 2C) No, the Auxbot will Idle, as it lacks any weapon with the Intuitive Attack label. 3) Yes, there are no deployment zone restrictions for forming a Fireteam, only the standard (Coherent/legitimate).
