  1. Maybe, just maybe using 32mm bases makes the Death company Assault Marines less tippy. I don't understand where it's being applied to Tac guys...
  2. My metal Bjorn is on 2 40mm squares. No base supplied.
  3. You mean like whether or not landing on Free Parking nets you all the collected Tax money? Or One Eyed Jacks are wild? In other news I'm announcing my base edge extenders. Turn those 25s into 32s! 10 for $5.
  4. Who the F cares? GW has made it clear they don't support events, so why should anybody change anything? If a TO insists you change your bases, don't go. Exercise your free will, quit overreacting and leave your guys on 25s. If anyone gives a [big bad swear word] then they need to get a damn life. Damn.
  5. Here's a better pic of a warrior. I really wanted to use the GW vertigre so I planned the painting around it. I used the airbrush as much as possible, and didn't really do a lot of prep. This is purely a fun with friends kind of army so I'm staying focused on completing instead of dumping too much time in them. I think they ended up looking like aged suits you'd find in a tomb. I think it works with their poses. I can do a step-by-step if anyone asks. I've also built a Slaughterbrute. I wanted him to look like a bigger juggernaught, but less Khorne and more old-school time-bending Realms of Chaos Biomechanical Sci-Magic. Still need to add a rider just cause it would look cool.
  6. After you spray in mold release and let it dry powder the mold with baby powder. This helps eliminate surface tension and lets the bubbles separate from the edge. If you are using platinum silicone you can skip the release agent.
  7. I buy my stuff from TAP Plastics, mainly cause it's local and I avoid shipping.
  8. Took a 40K break and built and painted a unit of chaos warriors. I'm using the airbrush as much as possible. Pure tabletop quality, I'm cutting as many corners as possible and saving my time for the big models. Now back to commissions! Gobsmasha up next.
  9. Wow, that's a terrible image. I'll paint the banners later at the same time. For now they respond to bare poles.
  10. I'm out for Tuesdays until after the first of the year. hopefully I can catch some folks at Dice Age on mondays.
  11. Big Hero 6: 7/10. Fun movie with great visuals. The story is predictable but I saw it with my kids and they liked it. Super hero movie for non super fans. Begging for a sequel, that's fine by me. Watch for the Stan Lee cameo and stay for the stinger.
  12. I really like the biomech asthetic of the juggernaughts, so I'm running with it. Here's my army so far, with my build concepts: Lord on Dragon (CSM Heldrake conversion) BSB on foot Lvl 2 Wizard 2x 18 WoC 2x Chariots (CSM Maulerfiend conversions) 10x Knights 3 Juggers Pics as they come. Fitting this build in between commissions
  13. Unassembled, not the forgefiend parts.
  14. I see the Nids and the Tau as the only faction that "model creep" actually makes sense. Nids evolve quickly to overcome perceived weaknesses, and Tau actually advance their tech. They actually have a narrative reason to react to the gaming meta. Who'da thunk it.
  15. Toxicrene size comparison, co Tale of Painters:
