  1. I feel they represent a looted Leman Russ better than the WD Looted Wagon. Nob Delivery rig. Plus Squadrons!
  2. It seems to me though that the point of the detachment is to introduce fixes to weak codexes. Weak codexes that under perform are nothing new to GW ( lookin at 3rd Ed chaos). The real motivation is business driven, no matter what you think of them they are a company that sells things, and anything they can do to generate sales is good for them. I'm much more likely to build a new army in increments as additions to my current force then drop $500 or more on an army that won't see the table for 6 months. By fostering this type of grow as you go method GW has stabilized their numbers over the fiscal year, rather than seeing huge spikes at certain times. They are responding to the market and it's working, they are generating revenue from it ( trust that if it wasn't they'd stop), players are seeing more variety then ever, and we get to put our toys on the table.
  3. Is there a Swiss system for 40k? Maybe that's a answer.
  4. I concur. I tend to build my lists along a CAD+1 line mainly because it keeps things easy for me, but the ObSec it brings to the party helps me more often then not.
  5. I agree with Pretre's agreement with fluger. The Target is a unit, not a model. The void shield wording is a bit janky, but that's the rules as written. Back to the original point the ITC FAQ made a ruling regarding this manner for ITC.
  6. I agree, but fluff doesn't equal rules.
  7. It wasn't a comment on OFCC or any other event. It was simply as stated.
  8. Try limiting to 1 CAD and 1 Detachment. See how that works.
  9. I'll be there around 4:30 lookin for a League game. Waaagh and cookies!
  10. 50 Shades of Grey 3/10 Went with my wife, cause sure. I honestly fail to see to appeal of the main character with that much emotional damage. I didn't think it was acted that well, I didn't think it was that titilating. I felt the story falls into the trope of woman tries to fix messed up guy cranked to 11. My wife read the books, and she was even disappointed. Her point was even if the story is weak (which it is) the other loin warming stuff was so watered down it missed the mark. Fanfic indeed.
  11. This last week was with Raze, he brought his (Mostly) Nurgle Daemon Prince force, and I brought my orks. We had pretty much determined it would a face beating by both sides, and knowing that my boys would be a "slight" disadvantage in melee I decided to concentrate on grabbing objectives and sacrificing units when I had to. The boys did fairly well in melee, by that I mean they didn't run away after various combats, sometimes even managing to score a wound! The nobz and warbass really did the trick though, the power klaw is a must have to couse some worry. I need to remember the Lucky Stikk on the boss though... The single best performance for the boys though was when the Tankbustas got a great round of shooting and managed to shoot the Bloodthirster out of the air. Woot! Kind of clutch as he about to roll into the back line of battlewagon boys and wreck house. Raze did well snagging objectives with his great mobility, and his summoning was good to to capture objectives with great scatter rolls, even if one of them dropped into a perfect fire lane... We only got 31/2 turns in due to a hard stop time for me, so we totaled 3 turns worth of objectives and resolved a tie. A super fun game. Thanks Raze!
  12. Try this. It can be a bit goopy but no runs:
  13. Sigh. For now they're going in a box and put away. OFCC 40K has my attention for now.
  14. Wash the bases in soapy water if you haven't. Try using a different type of CA glue, like a gel style so it doesn't run everywhere. Zip Kicker will accelerate the set time of the glue to seconds at the cost of the glue getting a bit brittle. All else fails you'll have to pin the mini in place.
  15. 01110010 01100101 01100100 01110010 01110101 01101101
  16. I like the first list. Nice redundancy. 11100001110100101001010101000111
  17. I get the feeling that GW is getting killed from a business standpoint on Fantasy. I just invested in a WoC army (not many figs fortunately) and all these rumors are troubling me. At least this helps me focus on other projects...
  18. I agree. So far running them in an opentopped battlewagon with 4 bigshootas is pretty funny though.
  19. Folks, you don't have to take the Dreadmob List to use the units from IA8. The book has two sections. The Dreadmob army, (with its own force org and units) and the additional units section. Some of those additional units may be taken in a Codex:Orks army. They will give a condition. For example the Grot tanks may be taken in a Codex:Orks army as long as that army has a Big Mek HQ choice, they are elites. In a Dreadmob list they are fast attack entries. Other units follow a similar pattern.
  20. Boss boys are in Sanctus reach:the red Waaagh. No restrictions like ghazzy supplement.
  21. Given that it's an older book I think the current wargearvrules would be a fine compromise
