  14. To be honest, I don't have a codex or anything so don't know options. But I do have a bunch of Guard figures and a slew of DKoK and a slew of renegades and a bunch of Chaos, so I was originally going to make a "traitor Guard" force to compliment the Chaos force... so I suppose I could make the Cult figures' uniforms and such match so I have flexibility. I don't even play 40k and am dusting off models to maybe start painting again in between all my other jobs/tasks. But I reckon were I to play down the road, having the flexibility to be able to field a GSC force with a slew of "counts as" models could help. Or vice versa, I don't know. I see this GSC as forming up after Chaos took a world or system or something. They nabbed it, thus the "traitor guard" link and then went out-system to conquer more stuff. And, as we all know that when you leave doors open the bugs can get in... ha ha. Any advice/thoughts/ideas?
  15. Just got a large batch of GSC minis; this thread is really inspiring!
  16. Sleep is super important for memory consolidation/formation. The hypothalamus is key in this process, as is the hippocampus... which basically relays over and over and over your recent events while you're sleeping. The neocortex then decides what's important to be stored (although many folks believe that EVERYTHING is stored, retrieval is the issue). What's right next to this stuff? The amygdala which responsible for emotion. Emotion is next to your memory storage area (mid-brain) so when something makes you FEEL a certain way, memory retrieval kicks into place and hopefully the file folder with the appropriate response is pulled out and signals can be sent to your central nervous system for action. That's why having a multitude of experiences tucked away in your file folders often times gets vocalized as "... something just didn't FEEL right..." or things like "... I knew something was off." Those emotional responses are the amygdala prepping the body for something it remembers... like you tensing up when you see a vehicle in the rear view mirror getting closer and not appearing to brake in time. The first time you might not notice as much. The second time it occurs, you might feel an emotional response and then get the tinglies / tense up.
  17. The two Black Legion books were really entertaining, as was the book Emperor's Legion. Cadia Stands... in addition to the ones you mentioned. Real fun reading the books as of late.
  18. Agree with you... kinda like Blood Crusher armor on the mount, too. And those knights... daaayyyyyum
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBovRUaPXA8 3:12 is the gold... and quite blingy
  20. Perhaps Kenobi was able to fight tactically, keeping his end goal in mind. And Vader was fighting emotionally, thus the sloppiness/acts that could appear boastful (look, I'm so much better than you/toying with you that I can pirouette).
  21. that terrain crate boxed set looks amazing!
  22. Oh my bad, let me expand I guess I think it was a great show, having also watched it with my sons when they were growing up. I felt that the main character's compassion and drive were heartfelt and enabled him to survive in a cynical microworld... and the show also showed how different types of folks cope with difficulties/life. The comedic side to it was great, especially when centered on the two best friends. Thoroughly enjoyable show. Sure, there were down points (as anything that goes on TV for eight seasons must) but nothing to write off the entire series.
  23. over the past few months wifey poo and I watched all 8 seasons of Scrubs. she loved it, already misses it ha ha
